Great restaurant, great food, great service - loved it
Very good food in lovely surroundings. Friendly service and good value.
Booked this for two couples. It was early Monday evening and restaurant was very quiet so it was difficult to properly judge atmosphere. Generally the food and service was good. However, even though we were seated before 18.15 we were not offered the menu of the day, nor were we told it was not available, even though advertised on the website. The food and drinks were all very good, except the pork chops. Two of us chose these as our mains and we both thought they were rather salty. When raising this with our waitress she said she would refer this to her colleague. Having done this the reply came back "they are supposed to be". I found this surprising as there was no clue to this in the description on the menu. This was a little disappointing and left a bad taste from what otherwise would have been a pleasant experience.
Great food, really tasty! Lovely restaurant and reasonably priced for the quality. Definitely would have preferred larger portions though as we left a bit hungry. Service towards the end of the evening was slow - we waited 30 minutes to order desserts and weren't asked if would like any more drinks.
We have dined here on many occasions and it's my favourite Liverpool restaurant The Chenin Blanc was initially not chilled enough but with the help from the courteous waitress and the ice bucket it became a delightful, drinkable temperature.
Very enjoyable evening, service and food veery good.
Good food, pleasant staff what more can you ask for. l
