Lovely meal as always at the Bowfield, the meals are never disappointing, The service being first class, staff are friendly and attentive.. the Plumpy Duck is a beautiful restaurant, with a great atmosphere. Would highly recommend this restaurant to all family and friends.
There wasn't a great choice for vegetarians, and neither if you prefer fish without bones! However the food we did order was very tasty and everything else - the renovations and the staff were lovely
Very long wait for a bottle of wine, food came to the table before we had to remind the waiter about our drinks. No flow of staff around the tables, checking on food and drinks and therefore no opportunity to ask for the bill.
Only problem was I had booked the table on lone for 19.00hrs, and when we arrived in the restaurant we were told it was for 19.45hrs. I had the required paper work to show the correct time. The situation was dealt with professionally and we were soon seated.
Food was faultless. Staff lovely and efficient. Restaurant and bar lovely but could possibly do with some air conditioning? ?
Music just on the loud side. With a large group, therefore, difficult to converse with everyone. (I've mentioned this to the staff before). But service and food excellent.
I think the waiter who served us could do with some further training. Ordered a bottle of red wine. He let my husband taste then filled my husbands glass and proceeded to ask if I wanted him to fill my glass as if he was doing me a favour.
