We had a wonderful lunch - un-rushed with fab views of the mad ducks that live in the canal at the back. The service was great - never intrusive but always there And the food was a taste sensation pushing two of us out of our comfort zones with positive outcomes! Of course we will be back
Sunday lunch for 10. Good choice of drinks and a nice wine list Pleasant and cheery staff in both the bar and the dining area that accommodated all of our requirements Balanced choice of menu and food cooked to a great standard. Service was attentive but not overbearing which was lovely as I wanted a relaxed feel to lunch but wanted everyone to feel looked after and this was achieved. It's always a concern when you're a large table that there will be issues with orders or waiting for meals to come out but all our food came as ordered and there seemed not to be too big a gap as the courses came out. The only wait I felt was for the tea and coffee, it wasn't too bad but it was noticeable in comparison to the rest of the service. That said it seemed very busy and we were having a lovely time that it didn't really spoil anything. Thanks for a lovely celebration lunch.
Excellent all round experience. Will definitely be back and would happily recommend
Sunday lunch was excellent and although we don't live locally I would definitely return - hoping to arrNge a busy over Christmas for all the family
We had a lovely afternoon, service was a little poor, we had to ask for a drinks order to be taken on arrival. No coffee was offered for afternoon and no decaf tea. This was then sorted but felt like it was an effort. The childs afternoon tea did not arrive with the others and the lack of a tea pot and dunking your teabag in a cup for afternoon tea did not live up to the afternoon tea experience. The table was huge for 10 people, and prevented conversation only with those sitting next to you and some of the older guests could not reach. However the food was good and plentiful.
Not pretty good for the price paid.
Last nights meal was excellent. The crispy egg was fantastic, the duck was the best cooked I've had (and I include on previous occasions at the Moat House), the Peach desert was..... a peach. Staff were all very polite. Cannot fault our evening.
Lovely meal and very friendly staff five star all round
