About Richmond Tearooms
Manchester's premier afternoon tea venue.
A traditional English style tea room serving food and an array of beverages throughout the day and evening.
With unique décor inspired by Tim Burton's Wonderland this quirky tearoom must be seen to be believed.
Afternoon Tea is served Mon-Thur 11am-8:15pm & Fri-Sunday 10am-8:45pm
Usually love coming here but disappointed the last time. Unfortunately my food was barely warm. It was replaced free of charge thankfully. Strangely no pepper mills available.
Had a wonderful evening and my only critism is for one of our guests. She has a wheat allergy and was told she would be better not eating as they couldn't guarantee that there wouldn't be any cross contamination. All that was needed was the area in which her food would be prepared would be away from the other food. Having spent over £400 that evening I don't think that would have been too hard to accommodate. This is why I'm unable to give the service five stars.
Thought the prices were expensive for the quality of food .The table in the room we were in at tbe front of the building was very crammed not a great deal of room to move in felt like we had been shoved in a corner such a shame as I was so looking forward to my visit and the party I was with felt the same way very disappointed .
Lovely quirky place! Missing some attention to detail i.e cloth napkins, handmade crisps and finger sandwiches more substantial for better value, but lovely cup of tea!
Everything was excellent, the standard of the food was amazing, we all really enjoyed our visit and will definitely be returning soon
We booked a table for my sisters 17th birthday yesterday, and it was such a lovely couple of hours! I'd say the afternoon tea is expensive for what you get, we've been for afternoon tea at a lot of places elsewhere and you generally get a lot more than what we got here for cheaper. But the sandwiches that some of us got were huge! they were awesome value for money, so I'd say it's just the tea package that was a bit of a let down, I was still hungry after eating it. The servers were lovely too :) they messed up my afternoon tea order but sorted it out straight away and even gave me a couple extra finger sandwiches for the trouble! couldn't have asked for anything more. Overall lovely experience, would highly recommend, just maybe get a non-afternoon tea option next time :)
Richmond Tea Rooms is one of my favourite places to go in Manchester, a beautifully decorated haven in the middle of the bustling city. It has a lovely vintage feel and the food is fantastic.
