Built in 1829 as a coaching inn, this traditional hotel, decorated with contemporary artworks, is a one-minute walk from Abergavenny Castle and Museum, and an eight-minute walk from Linda Vista Gardens.
Enjoy an informal lunch or evening meal in our Oak Room, where we offer three courses for £28.00 or choose from our à la carte menu. The Wedgewood room is open for breakfast and our award-winning high teas.
High tea is served Monday to Friday 14.00 - 16.00 & Saturday - Sunday 14.00 - 17.30
Snacks are served all day in our Foxhunter bar, however, reservations are not taken for the bar area.
Amazing service and food. Can't fault!
A wonderful evening with great food and service. The wine list could be more imaginative but any restaurant can only offer what it ultimately can sell. The decor and layout of the tables makes for a great atmosphere in what could otherwise be a cavernous hotel restaurant. Much enjoyed and we will certainly return next time we pass through Abergavenny.
I had afternoon tea with friends to celebrate my birthday , food and service was amazing I will definatly be viditing again soon .
Had afternoon tea which was delicious! Big thank you to Patrick who was so lovely friendly and helpful xx
Two roast lamb meals were Very tough ( disappointing) But quickly replaced with better. Rest of meal excellent and faultless service. Very poor wifi meant bill took four attemps in three locations? To summarise, nice lunch excellent value
My partner and I came for afternoon tea and we were really impressed. The food was great and the service was amazing. We had our 8 month old daughter with us and the staff were really welcoming and helped us settle her by giving her some extra spoons to play with and some buttered bread plus strawberries for us to give her. The teas on offer are the best I've had.
First class as usual, lovely location and setting, atmospheric, High Tea on Saturday was worth every penny, always a pleasure going here, cannot recommend highly enough, go and indulge!
Could not fault the service, very enjoyable evening.
