Looking for la creme de la creme? We’ve got you covered! Here’s the list of our favourite fancy restaurants in Edinburgh; perfect when you want to wow dining companions with fab fine dining.

Fhior

Scottish, British, Fine Dining, Tasting Menu

Fhior is the new hot spot in Edinburgh! Open in June 2018 by Scott and Laura Smith, the vision is “to create a dining experience that is reflective of the restaurant’s namesake” – Fhior meaning true in Gaelic. Head along for lunch or enjoy their full dining experience. The choice is simple, four or seven courses with the option of a carefully selected drinks pairing (highly advised by the ResDiary team). Fhior allows you to enjoy food and hospitality delivered with passion and skill, without pretension. When looking for the best fancy restaurant in Edinburgh, this one should totally be on top of your list.

Mono

With a menu carefully established by Michelin star chef Zielinski, alongside Italian foodie Joseph Crolla, and their sensational team, Mono is undoubtedly one of the best fine dining spots in town. “Expect to encounter a multi-sensory experience: visual, textual, sound, and all kinds of stimuli”. They serve fresh cuisine that follows the roots of culinary principles in Italy: excellent quality ingredients, honest cooking and the belief that food is culture – Ma che bello! There’s no fuss at Mono, simplicity with quality comes first.
