Tired of home cooked meals? Do you have a special occasion coming up? Or maybe you just feel like enjoying some fancy fare? Whatever the reason we’ve rounded up a list for those of you looking for some fine dining in Dublin.

Chapter One

Fine dining, Michelin star

Kicking off our list of fine dining spots in Dublin, we have Michelin-starred marvel, Chapter One. Located in a basement, in the Northside of the city, this sleek and elegant restaurant is the ideal place for a special occasion. The food here is just as pleasing to the eye as it is to the palate. If you do decide to book here make sure you have a look at the ‘Chefs table experience: a volcanic rock table where diners can see their food being prepared, talk to the chefs, and pick up some tips.

Restaurant Patrick Guildbaud

This next venue is somewhat of an institution in Dublin. The only venue in the city that holds two Michelin stars, you’ll find the exquisite Restaurant Patrick Guildbaud in the heart of Dublin. Serving contemporary Irish and French cuisine, this place exudes opulence, not only in the decor but in the food too. There are plenty of options here for the meat lovers amongst you, with lamb, veal, and pigeon on the menu. For the vegetarians, you can also enjoy many different options including one of our favourite dishes, the wholemeal walnut and parmesan tortellini with blonde miso butter.

L’Ecrivan

They’ve been serving up French style fare for over 20 years, so you know you’re in good hands at L’Ecrivian. Headed up by husband and wife dream team, Derry and Sally-Anne Clarke, this fine dining gem brings a taste of French gastronomy to the streets of Dublin. Enjoy six to ten course tasting menus full of meat and seafood options, and if you’re vegetarian there’s also a dedicated veggie menu too.

The Green House

Fine dining, Michelin star

If you’re looking for a special dining experience that will be hard to replicate at home, then The Green House is the ideal place to go. Located in Dawson Street, a few yards from St Stephens Green, The Green House creates a lasting impression with its lavish menus and extensive drinks list. The chef, Mickael Viljanen, is committed to modern and innovative cuisine using the freshest Irish produce. You know you’re in for a treat here.

Locks

For a peaceful and relaxing fine dining experience in Dublin we recommend Locks. Situated on the banks of the grand canal, Locks serves up modern seasonal food in a relaxed setting. Enjoy your meal in the gorgeous dining room where it’s always sunny, as light floods in from all sides. All you need to do is sit back with a glass of wine as you gaze out at the canal.

The Gallery at the Church

Featuring a stunning restored Renatus Harris built organ as its centerpiece, The Gallery at the Church lends itself perfectly to a special meal in the city. Aiming to exceed the expectations of guests, the food, wine, and service are second to none. With celebrities such as Bill Clinton and Taylor Swift gracing their doors, they’re certainly doing something right at The Gallery.
