There are plenty of sophisticated spots in London for a meal, but what about when you just want to have a bit of fun? Keep reading and you’ll find press for champagne buttons, prison dining (we’ll explain), and code=cracking cocktails, all places we’ve stumbled upon on our hunt for fun restaurants in London.
First up on our list of fun restaurants in London, we have the striking Sushi Samba. Located at the famed Opera Terrace, atop the historic Grade II-listed Market Building, this space is a vibrant new addition to the area. Bold in design, Sushi Samba, in Covent Garden, offers a host of inviting dining and drinking experiences: from the bar with its ‘living ceiling’, alive with lush South American and Japanese foliage, to an exposed kitchen where you can spy the chefs at work, and a high energy sushi bar to the terrace overlooking the square below.
Bob Bob Ricard
Opulent, fun, and GLAM! All words we would use to describe the luxurious Bob Bob Ricard. This Soho spot serves a luxury Russian-influenced menu where you can expect oysters, caviar, and champagne on tap. Yes on tap. Each booth here is fitted with a ‘press for Champagne’ button which when pushed, makes a pink-waistcoat-ed waiter appear to refill your glass. Now that’s sounds like our kind of fun!
10 Greek Street
Get us to the Greek, 10 Greek Street that is. A bustling neighbourhood restaurant in the heart of Soho, serving seasonal, modern cooking at great prices. Grab your mates and have fun, sharing large and small plates of delicious Greek treats. For the wine lovers in the group make sure to ask for the “little black book” a handwritten list of rarer wine gems.
Are you a quiz master or the quiz-tress of your group? Can’t get enough of a good old puzzle? Also like a cheeky cocktail? Then this next place might be your kinda fun. Not necessarily a restaurant, we still feel you’ll enjoy this place. The Bletchley is a unique concept where agents are required to solve codes to make bespoke cocktails that fit their personality. Inspired by Bletchley Park, the historical site where British Intelligence cracked German codes during WW2, this place is ideal for a get together with friends. Are you up for the challenge?

The shooting range has two lanes, each kitted out with a state-of-the-art virtual shooting system and replica shotguns, transporting you and your guests to a shoot in the Scottish Highlands.
The Clink Restaurant
Ever fancied dining in a prison? Well it wasn’t exactly the first thing on our list either, but The Clink Restaurant has changed our minds. A unique dining experience that aims to deliver change, this place is staffed by prisoners working towards a qualification in catering and hospitality. Here you’ll enjoy a delicious meal, cooked using fresh, seasonal ingredients, and the lastest cookery techniques by people who are looking to make a real change in their lives.

Rock and Rose Richmond
What happens when an interior designer opens her own restaurant? Rock & Rose happens, that’s what. This gorgeous spot in the middle of Richmond is quirky, fun, and serves properly delicious food to boot. Dishes have an Asian fusion theme with classics like chicken Milanese and crispy sea bass sitting alongside dim sum gyoza and miso cod fillets. If you’re planning a private party, THIS is the place to go with the choice of a trendy Funky Room, or the Garden Room for alfresco dining. Trust us, fun restaurants in London don’t get much more fun than this!
