The whole experience was lovely and we didn't feel rushed. 2.5 hours later we took away what we didn't eat extending the pleasure still further. Thank you. A box would be better for the cakes to take away than foil, less squishy! Lol.
Lovely food and a lovely atmosphere! The waiter was amazing and couldn't do enough for us!
Excellent food and service One small comment Maybe there is not much call for sherry these days? My Mum (93) was surprised to be served sherry in a wine glass - she would have much preferred a sherry glass!
Wonderful service in the restaurant, couldn't have been looked after more. Highly recommended.
It was my 50th Birthday a lovely afternoon with my friends and the staff and service was excellent.
We celebrated my husband's birthday with our grown up children here. We were a party of 10. I was concerned that we might overwhelm the restaurant, but it was fine. The atmosphere was very busy and up. Lots of chatting and very relaxed. We all had various starters and mains and everyone was very happy with their choices. The wine selection was extensive, with a wide range of prices. The staff were all lovely and friendly, and the service was good, even though the restaurant was very busy. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated and the seating is comfortable (no hard chairs!). I will definitely be going back.
Lovely relaxing Sunday lunch
I would like to thank you for a wonderful Dinner and Desert. Beyond excellent service. Breakfast was so beautiful, again the service was beyond excellent. I really pray it stays this way. I will most definately returning before the year is up.. Thank you again..x
Lovely Evening. The four of us enjoyed our dinner. We were very well looked after. The service was fabulous. We will definately go back. ☺️
The service was shocking. we finally finished our meal at approx 10.30 pm due to problems in the kitchen. The following day we went for breakfast at about 9.10. We ordered a full english which eventually arrived cold at 10.15 which we didn't eat. We complained to the management who ensured that the Sat evening and Sun mornings meals were 1st class with excellent service
First time visiting your restaurant. Great service and lovely food. We will definitely be back .
Good food attractively presented; attentive, friendly service. A lovely experience in beautiful surroundings.
Restaurant is a relaxed space, tastefully decorated. The manager had kindly phoned previously to let us know that a small wedding party was taking place on the evening of our reservation. The wedding party had no impact on our experience, or the level of service. Food was delicious, service friendly, wine list extensive. We would certainly recommend 1919.
Lovely place. Helpful, friendly staff who couldn't have been more helpful My guests loved it too. Views and service great. Made my mother's 95th birthday tea a joy. Thank you so much. Will see you again! Only downside was the parking. My car got scraped!
Bar, although nicely modernised, has not enough seating for a relaxed pre-dinner drink, and very little in reserve when busy
Setting was excellent. Staff very attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. Food out of this world. Only observation was that the descriptions of the food on the menu weren't very clear. Just a little bit more description would have helped. Having said that though, the staff we able to give us the extra detail, so no real issue. A wonderful evening😊
Excellent venue very highly recommended. Wine recommendations were spot on.
Delicious food and good value.
Couldn't fault any of the 3 courses we had it the wine selection . The view is second to none only complimenting the beautiful decorated and arranged restaurant . My only niggle would be the £4 charge for still water which if advised on offering I would have asked for tap water .
We had such a lovely lunch with you. We were looked after incredibly well, your staff couldn't do enough for us and were excellent with our two small children. My 2 year old couldn't believe his luck when your lovely front of house gave him a tin foil packet full of marshmallows after he had seen them on my birthday pudding! A perfect lunch. Thank you.
Exceptional place and exceptional service, special mention to Patrick the Maitre D who couldn't do enough for us
Mostly great. The White Chocolate Bavarois: I did not like the cardboard texture to the granola, everything else was lovely.
Wonderful views - friendly service
Had a lovely afternoon tea to celebrate my 30th birthday with friends. The experience was welcoming and a pleasure from beginning to end.
