We had a lovely evening at 60 Hope Street. The food was fantastic, the service great and such a lovely venue!
Lovely meal after graduation.
Had a fantastic birthday celebration here. Service was fantastic - friendly, knowledgable, and accommodative to dietary requirements (e.g. gluten free). Food was spot on - absolutely delicious and generous portions.
Starters were fantastic, everyone enjoyed them, but then mains were slightly disappointing because of the great start (belly pork was overdone for our taste). Service were really friendly and kind, definitely recommend to people to try.
Delicious food in a great atmosphere. Would highly recommend.
One of the best afternoon teas I have ever had. Really high quality and tasty. Staff friendly and I would say really good value for money
The food looked and tasted amazing. The staff were all very friendly and we had a wonderful time. The atmosphere was great and was a perfect place to eat after graduation. Thank you !
Excellent food, excellent staff, excellent atmosphere.
Very friendly and attentive service Menu had good variety without being over the top. Food cooked and presented perfectly
Gorgeous food, lovely atmosphere, friendly staff!
Was disappointed by the service. One of the first things that waitress said to us was that we had picked ‘the worst day’ to have afternoon tea as restaurant was going to be so busy with graduations. Not very nice to be greeted with negative comment when we were coming to celebrate my nans 80th birthday. Food was nice but service and atmosphere lacking. Restaurant wasn’t even a third full.
Because the restaurant was busy it was a little noisy for my liking but everything else was perfect and my guests and I thoroughly enjoyed the food and visit overall. We will definitely be back . Friends are looking to book when they are visiting Liverpool later in the year
Three of us ate here on Monday evening and, whilst it was fairly busy, it wasn’t exactly a buzzing atmosphere. A lot of people would be very glad about this but I like a bit more of a vibe. The clientele seem to be more on the mature side. Anyway, the food was excellent and the service from the staff was faultless. They were all extremely professional whilst being very friendly. My husband was given a warm beer (which he hates) but they replaced it without hesitation. The bill was a little steep but worth it for the quality of food and service. Would certainly eat here again for those reasons.
Superb food. We were a party of 7 and there was something for everyone.
Amazing food and a great wine selection too, good portion sizes and lovely setting
Wine was very good. Very nice starters, full of flavour. The selection of vegetables was broccoli, not quite a selection especially for the time of year. An un-inspiring choice of desserts (at least for me). Sevice was very good and pleasant staff. Though it was a little rushed, especially for dessert to the point I checked if my friend wanted it then or later.
Great food and friendly helpful staff!
Wonderful afternoon, lovely food and staff amazing
We had the early bird menu the food was fabulous and will be back again.
Faultless dining experience, service, food, all fantastic and in a lovely space.
Staff knowledgable about menu. Great choice. Service excellent.
First time visit and really impressed. Decor and layout of ground and basement lovely (didn’t see upstairs). Arrival 5 mins early with offer of a drink in the bar or straight to table, which was great. We ordered from the a la carte, however, really impressed with the house menu (very reasonably priced) running concurrently and not just as a pre-theatre offer. Makes such a prestigious restaurant accessible to all. Husband was driving so very reasonably priced wine by the glass for me, which was well above usual standards elsewhere. Food delicious and service at the table was excellent. Amazed I’ve never been before and will be back. Only single thing which could have made it better would’ve been an alcohol free beer for the driving husband, as there is such a wide choice these days. Thanks for a fab evening!
I ordered medium rare rib eye which was actually medium and at least 25% pure fat. I brought this to the attention of the waitress who said she would report it to her line manager. Nobody came!! When paying my bill I mentioned it again and she repeated she had reported it to her line manager!! Still nobody came to see me! There will not be another opportunity for them to come and see me I’m afraid!!
