Great example of how a Restaurant should be run good food and service well done to all the staff who made our visit special.
Despite being very busy with Christmas lunch the staff were attentive and friendly.
Fabulous afternoon Zsuzsi and her team were amazing, private room was beautifully decorated and laid out thoughtfully to accommodate our group. Car park attendant was very helpful and friendly. More salad garnish with parfait, bread was a bit odd, more veg needed with lamb then it would have been perfect. Thank you to everyone at HFAAL HAPPY CHRISTMAS!
Lovely, birthday lunch.
Thank you for a wonderful Christmas lunch. We received fantastic customer service, from booking stage through to on the day. Staff were extremely helpful and food was delicious!
Good service and lovely food
Nice food, gorgeous place full of interest.
Always a great experience at the House for an Art Lover. Delicious food, good service and a lovely relaxed atmosphere in a beautiful Glasgow setting.
Christmas lunch was excellent and very good value for money. One of my favourite places to eat!
We had booked the three course Christmas lunch after enjoying several previous lunchtime visits. Two out of the six chose the turkey which was not enjoyable. It was overdone and really smacked of being a quick option not prepared in any way in your kitchen beyond heating. The exact slices of stuffing and of the Christmas pudding dessert also gave the same impression. Staff were lovely and prices are ok but overall, we were disappointed.

Fantastic quality of food. Fresh and in season menu. Beautiful presentation. We had the lamb and ox cheek this time. Melt in your mouth yet flavour-ful. Perfect accompanying salad and sauces. Last time I had Apple pie, and it was perfectly spiced.
as usual, lovely lunch
Excellent food and service
Overall excellent service
Lovely food, beautiful setting and great service.
Fabulous food, as always
Have been a HAL devotee for years. Simply fantastic.
We liked that we were not pressured to order alcoholic drinks as two of our party were driving and therefore not drinking.
lentil soup had no flavour hake would have benefitted from some lemon sweet (delice) was good
Excellent afternoon .l will be back and definitely would recommend
The cafe at House for an Art Lover never disappoints, and is looking especially pretty on winter afternoons with it’s twinkling fairy lights.
Enjoyed our visit..... a wee bit of a delay in service .... it was busy so I understand that ...but we were early so we were seated pretty quickly..... we waited quite a long time to have our order taken .... ? I feel your TOILETS are looking a bit ‘tired’ and in need of an upgrade! In spite of the above I love visiting the House of an Art Lover..... and will be back!!
