About Darcy's Brasserie at Mosbrough Hall
Few hotels in Sheffield can match the dining experience we offer at the Best Western Plus Mosborough Hall Hotel. Enjoy the serenity and sophistication of Darcy's brasserie restaurant, or relax in the stately ambience of the spacious bar and lounge, where full height glass walls offer tantalising glimpses of the 12th century hall of this famous Sheffield hotel.
Had a very enjoyable meal at the Mosborough Hall Food was very nicely cooked lots of flavour Only slight down side was the restuarant could be a little warmer on an evening
Lovely comfortable area as we had our Afternoon Tea in the bar lounge area instead of the Brasserie. Very friendly staff. The food was a little disappointing - the cakes didn't seem fresh. Fresh scones would have been nice a little warm. The booking was for a champagne afternoon tea, unfortunately I can't drink at the moment however I was disappointed that the other guest wasn't offered a 2nd glass of champagne as it was paid for within the package. Should have been lovely but the food was a shame.
Staff are extremely friendly and approachable. Food was served quick and of great quality. All in all, a great experience. Special thanks to Anne who made our dining experience extra special! M
Had a lovely baby shower
Afternoon tea very nice. Lovely day. Prosecco over priced.
We wanted a special place for my daughter's 21st birthday just a small family meal but special. We booked and picked a table and said it was for 21st birthday. The day before we brought the cake and napkins with 21 on to go on the table. They said don't worry it would all be sorted so we left it in their hand. Arrived for a drink first then went to the restaurant to be asked if we had a booking we said table 15. We were taken to the table it find it was set for 4 there was only 3 of us no special napkins and no cake. The waitress said she hadn't been told and the one in charge hadn't. At this point I was ready to walk out but didn't want to make a scene infront of my daughter and spoil the day that had been really special up to that moment. We ordered eat the meal then they brought the cake out. We asked for it to back into box and left very disappointed.
Having a restaurant of this caliber where we were staying was a factor in choosing to return to stay at Mosbrough Hall.
The food was excellent and the service was very good, Staff very pleasant and helpful.
Staff were very accommodating, friendly and nothing was too much for them
Had great customer service from Sam. He was very pleasant and polite. All the staff were lovely.
More choice of filling in sandwiches. Not everyone likes ham with english mustard, it would be rather nice just plain. Scones were amazing.
Food was gorgeous it was well presented, tasty and just the right temperature the cocktails I had were also nice! Staff were polite and helpful. Fully recommend!
Unfortunately both myself and my husband were unwell after eating our meal so much so we decided not to try out breakfast the next day. My husbands burger was uncooked. The garlic bread was so garlicky it burnt our throats and after being told the fish for the fish and chips didn't have skin on it, it intact did. If I had known this I would have ordered something else as I don't like skin on fish. It was probably one of the worst meals we have had which was nice as it was our five year wedding anniversary.
Lovely festive afternoon tea. Thank you! X
Food very poor and expensive. Burger tasted like it had been reheated, chips were soggy and the salad consisted of salad leaves only taken straight from a packet with no dressing.
Arrived and explained distract requirements on booking but they had made no changes and was the standard afternoon tea. The sandwiches were changed only to then find a hair in the sandwich. They were taken again but by this time we were not impressed or happy - cold coffee been sat in pots too long - I will not be recommending misborough hall or returning
Brilliant service, lovely food served hot and promptly with a lovely smile and good humour. It was a very busy night but your team worked efficiently and service was excellent. It was a LOVELY evening thank you so much.
Upset that 20 minutes before we were due to be seated l got a call to say that the vegetarian option that one of our party had chosen was unavailable. This was unacceptable when the meals had been pre booked 5 weeks previously. Sea Bream dish was very oily, Turkey dinner was only just warm and the brocolli portion was laughable, no bigger than a teaspoon. The Christmas pudding was tepid and there was hardly any sauce on it. The cheesecake however was exceptional. I dont think we would book for the Festive Menu again. We were a party of 12.
Had a lovely afternoon for a surprise afternoon tea for my mums 70 th birthday . The old hall was perfect , the staff were so helpful & friendly especially Joe & afternoon tea was delicious ! Thankyou
