An enjoyable steak night meal
Excellent!! We’ve never been to the d&d for breakfast before and we were most definitely not disappointed! Great value for money! Good portion sizes! Lovely coffee! we will most definitely be coming back soon!!
Good choice of very well cooked food, very personable and efficient staff. Strong Covid awareness.
A very safe place to go and a good choices food on the Lots of options for vegetarians too.
Felt very safe
Gorgeous food gorgeous staff what more can you say, what more would you want, that's why we keep going back
We should have seen a wine list as we were shocked by the price of a large glass of wine at £9.50 and being charged for a glass of soda water when we had bought three course meal with tea before hand and coffee afterwards, seems a bit mean spirited to charge for soda water
Excellent food and service. All measures in place for the safety of customers and staff. Highly recommended.
We've been meaning to go to the dog and doublet for awhile as we drive past it all the time. We went for brunch/breakfast and we asked to sit under the arch on the online booking form. We were not disappointed it was such a relaxed and enjoyable brunch with nice autumnal views. The staff were really nice and kept the coffee refills coming all morning. There are covid policies in place and they are done really well, signage everywhere and a one way in and out system for entering and leaving the property. Felt very safe, I don't think anyone should be concerned. Quite reasonably priced as well if I'm honest we are pleasantly surprised. Definitely worth a trip for breakfast/brunch if you have the time.
The staff are excellent and very friendly and helpful.
We love the dog and doublet great staff food and service every time another of our go to places fantastic
The Dog & Doublet is our favourite place for breakfast (dinner is great as well though!). The service was outstanding & the food excellent (& piping hot). It felt very COVID safe with lots of space between the tables, signs saying the table had been sanitised & a one-way system in place.
Lovely meal with prompt efficient service
We were kept walking for an excessive amount of time. Desser order was not offered until asked for some 30 minutes following completion of the main course
Not good value for money. Food didn't taste fresh, veg very soggy asked for extra veg with was a lot fresher.Roast potatoes cold & pre cooked. Sticky chocolate pudding over pre heated in a microwave. so will not be coming again.
the food was amazing, and service was good.
Friendly, good, organised, food was well presented and happy with the value for money.
Excellent food and service, would recommend
Lovely food at a reasonable price and the staff were very friendly and efficient. Felt very covid safe.
Very enjoyable. Only issue was that I ordered the burger without Bacon which unfortunately didn’t happen and they forgot to put veg on my grandson’s plate apart from that it was fine.
The food was lovely, especially the fish pie. We were told how long it would be till our food arrived due to the cooking time of one choice which was good (but only 10 minutes so not a problem). Tables were well spaced out - would definitely visit again.
Dined here on Saturday evening, the waitress who was looking after our was very welcoming and couldn’t have done more for us! The food was amazing and due to it being a birthday meal the staff went above and beyond including a lovely message and a bottle of Prosecco! Will be recommending to my friends and family! Thanks again and we shall be back!
4 fir food and drink as we had a slight hiccup but got resolved very quickly cannot fault the dog and doublet. Definitely recommend.
Had a really enjoyable evening, food and staff were excellent. Can’t wait to come back!
Once again we have had an excellent dining experience. All the food was fresh and hot and served with a smile. We had gone out for a birthday celebration and as a surprise the chef sent out a special birthday message with a piece of cake which made the day complete - thankyou, we will be back!
