Excellent meal as always. Great food and equally great service! Would highly recommend
Fabulous food in beautiful surroundings. Friendly, knowledgeable, polite staff - great value !
The food was excellent and we found that there were was a great gluten free selection. We couldn't fault the service, particularly Brooke who was so friendly and helpful.
The afternoon tea is fantastic!
Young inexperienced waiting staff calling over from bar to seating area making arrangements not relating to their work It didn’t ruin our evening as food was amazing like always
Food and cocktails were great, slightly over priced for what you actually get, especially the curry where you get a small bowl of rice and a bowl of sauce and chicken. Other than than would highly recommend.
Lovely food and excellent service
Fantastic meal. Shane the receipt said Shaghai rather than Shanghai...
Everything was pretty much perfect. We’d have wanted the sweet potato fries to be a little crispier, but guess this is personal preference.
Went for food before viewing the hotel for a possible wedding venue. Food was terrible, rice stuck together and chicken very dry. Service was appalling no drinks order before food order, no checks throughout meal and on collection of plates we weren’t asked if anything had been okay. Food cost £51 in total for two starters and two mains of inadequate for food, definitely no good value for money. We were looking forward to viewing the venue but after this we were completely put off
Lovely venue, lovely staff. Only downside was other diners wearing bath robes. We were there for a romantic dinner and didn’t realise that spa members would be using restaurant dressed in spa wear. Very off putting.
Booked afternoon tea to be told I hadn’t booked it . Table wear dirty but rectified after. . Wasn’t good value for money
Drinks are very expensive
Great service Great food
Amazing food. Friendly staff.
Meal was lovely service very good
My wife had the ribs as a starter and they were pretty tough, not at all succulent. I had the chicken gyoza which were alright but I would expect so for almost £10. For the main course I had belly pork which was about as tough and chewy as I have ever had, nothing like the melt in your mouth experience pork belly should be. My wife's beef noodle dish was alright. Starters and mains were all completed in little more than 30 minutes and no one came to check for any more drinks. Overall a pretty disappointing experience and that's before I take into account the cost of it!
Great food in a great setting.
Amazing food, had such a lovely time for Father’s Day. My partner loved it. The service was excellent.
Really great service, great food. Would be coming back
Delicious food and a very warm atmosphere
Excellent as always
We missed the Beef Rendang on the menu. We loved your Beef Rendang.
We've been a few times and the food is great. The service is a bit more hit and miss. This time we were served very quickly on arrival and our first two courses came in very quick succession. After that we ran out of drinks and had to work quite hard to attract attention for more. I ordered a martini cocktail.and it was served in a brandy glass as they had run out of martini glasses. It tasted lovely and by no means spoiled the meal but a bit ridiculous for what is supposed to be a premium hotel. There were also still people in robes well after the premitted 7pm. This does spoil the atmosphere if you are out for a special occasion. We even saw someone in the main bar in a robe around 10pm although he presumably came down from a bedroom. During dinner service, the waitress spilt gravy on my husband's jeans. She did apologise but explained it happened a lot as the plates weren't really suited to the types of dishes being served. My meal was served in a bowl so no problem with that. An easy problem to fix I'd have thought? The staff were perfectly pleasant as was the food. Just a few tweaks to service at busy times would prevent people being disappointed I'm sure.
