About Lady Helen at Mount Juliet Estate
Lady Helen McCalmont, the previous owner of Mount Juliet, was a superb hostess, who oversaw the gardens and kitchens with a kindly but firm hand. We believe she would have been delighted to know we have maintained her standards, and that the restaurant bearing her name also bears a Michelin Star, along with three AA Rosettes.
Our internationally-themed menu consists of dishes made using local ingredients, including many from our own kitchen garden, herb garden and farm. The atmosphere of opulence within the Lady Helen Restaurant complements the pastoral views out over the pastures to the River Nore, racing its way south to Inistioge.
Amazing stay in this beautiful oasis ....from the minute you enter The Manor you feel special .......Lady Helen restaurent is exceptional and a truly wonderful experience
We had a really wonderful evening at the Lady Helen. The staff were very friendly and professional. The food was amazing. We decided to choose the wine pairing and it was a good choice. The sommelier was very knowledgeable and friendly and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Lovely music and atmosphere also.We would recommend the restaurant highly.
The attention to our food intolerances was superb and seamless, allowing us to fully enjoy the tasting menu. We look forward to returning soon.
Truly exceptional cuisine with world class yet unobtrusive service.
Amazing attention to detail in every aspect of the dining experience.
Outstanding food and service. Bit of trouble with our bill as we had a voucher and the number could not be found. Otherwise beautiful evening in stunning setting.
Fantastic restaurant, will certainly be back!
Fantastic dining experience Amazing food and very helpful staff
Mount Juliet is the perfect setting for a relaxing afternoon visit and the Afternoon Tea was perfect in every way! My family enjoyed this pre-Christmas treat and will return again next year.
Dinner in the Michelin restaurant was outstanding service excellent however to be charged €12 for 2 bottles of water when you are paying €100 pp is a bit shameful. Also some other prices such as €9.50 for a scone scandalous. Atmosphere was lovely and enjoyed my stay but I would say there are other 5 star places that offer the same experience without such a heavy price tag such as Castlemartyr Resort and the Europe
Food divine. Service and staff fantastic.
A beautiful afternoon spent with friends in the glamorous surroundings of Mount Juliet House to welcome in the New Year!
Lovely atmosphere, fabulous food, beautiful setting. A definite treat.
The ambiance was nice, but the servers appeared unfamiliar with what was on the afternoon tea menu & mixed up our two different teas on delivery. They were also unfamiliar with what was what when the food was delivered and appeared put out that we asked them to talk us through the different food. The food was tasty on arrival and there was plenty to go around.
The food was divine.
Best meal I have had all year and in the most beautiful surroundings
Best afternoon tea I’ve ever had.
Could use more staff in kitchen. Staff are good but stretched too thin
We felt that the meal wasn’t very inventive or inspiring. We’ve had much better meals from restaurants not even close to Michelin. The wine pairing with the scallop was excellent and the pigeon was tasty, however nothing was memorable. Given the expense of the 9 course taster and wine pairing we would have expected more... We would love for our minds to be swayed, but with the hefty price tag I can’t see us every paying Helen a second visit.
Great meal, food was excellent. Very competitively priced when compared to other Michelin star restaurants. Very good service and friendly staff.
Staff- amazing, friendly and efficient.Premises a real wow factor. We had the 9 course tasting menu - never tasted anything quite as good as the 1st serving - mackerel cone and also most impressive were the petite fours. Other courses also had wow factor with the exception of the rabbit- not wonderful. This did not take from the overall wonderful dining experience. Thank you.
Brilliant food good atmosphere but a small bit pricey
The Service felt a bit awkward. Coming to close - speaking above the food.... a bit more distance would have been better.... Being there as the first guests of the evening we were standing around... waiting for someone to show up. Felt lost.
Wonderful evening from start to finish! Just perfect!
An exceptional experience
