We had an afternoon tea for 3 people and could not fault the experience and loved the surroundings.
very enjoyable Sunday brunch with plenty of good food and friendly service
The Lygon is getting better, as it should do under present management. Hopefully will be back to levels of 20/30 years ago when it was 'first class', but currently a huge leap forward for the better Congratulations ! We will come back.
A really super afternoon tea with lovely service. Highly recommended
Staff didn’t seem very attentive as they were waiting for exclusive guest? Almost being rushed to leave and not offered anymore tea The scones were too sweet, and the puddings were very tasty Sandwiches lovely and settings lovely Toilet sink in ladies bathroom when running water smelt like sewerage, May be a problem?
Overall very happy with service I received. However it did feel like we were being rushed at the end of our allocated time (5:45pm) when the restaurant was not busy.
Dinner in the Lounge Friday evening good as was service. Very poor service at Breakfast Saturday. Had to wait 15 minutes to be seated Saturday morning then 40 minutes for cooked breakfast & only two of the 3 ordered meals arrived. Well done requested scrambled egg was runny, undercooked and looked insipid slop. Coffee served was only lukewarm. In all fairness the head breakfast waiter arranged a refund of the breakfast element but not good enough for a 4 star hotel of this standing. Afternoon tea in the Bar Lounge not much better. Had to wait 20 minutes after requesting a high chair from bar man for a 20 months old and when complained to a waiter was told he was a bit busy but would get one eventually. Another 10 minutes. Ordered finger sandwiches for our 20 month old baby and the selection of 2 small fingers included ham with English Mustard? (for a baby) Also waited 25 minutes for 2 x gin & tonics. Waitress said she thought they may have forgotten the drinks. Scones were nice as was Breakfast on day 2. Very disappointed overall though and some staff excellent other seemed as though they did not care.
Thanks to Danica who went the extra mile for my daughters 40th birthday celebrations with friends xx
Very relaxing stay.
Nice Venue friendly staff, very cool uniform, worked hard due to the circumstances of being very busy. Can’t wait too return. EJB EVENTS.CO.UK Dame Emma-jane Brown.
This is the second time we have enjoyed a cream tea here at Christmas time. We were bought this present last year and asked for the same gift experience this year. The food was well presented and were frequently asked if we needed top ups of tea.
Wonderful staff! Lester and Gavin are amazing!!
Staff very accommodating, attentive and friendly. Lovely atmosphere, warm and friendly and tastefully decorated for Christmas.
We booked a festive afternoon tea with the children, lovely place but very slow service despite not being very busy and a number of staff being around. santa visit was lovely.
Fabulous we will be back
We found the restaurant far to cold in the winter evening despite the fire. thankfully your staff moved us into the coffee area for our evening meal. vegan menu very good thanks.
The location and service was perfect. The village is great and the Lygon Arms really adds to any visit to Broadway. We were a little disappointed with the quality of the food. Very average, the food being bland and nothing standing out. Possibly the result of the high number of visitors choosing afternoon tea, turning the food into a production line
Service is amazing.
Very stylish and comfortable refurbishment and attentive, helpful staff in casual attire ... a great mix of formal/informal
Lovely atmosphere and fab food
Unable to rate value for money as the experience was a gift All staff very helpful and attentive
Had a fantastic time enjoying afternoon tea here recently, attentive but not intrusive service, beautiful environment, nothing too much trouble. Thank you.
We had afternoon tea and it was lovely!
It was a fantastic afternoon and we couldn't ask for anymore. Well done to all the Staff to make our visit very pleasant. Thank you from Mark and Mary
Very poor service had to ask three times for a glass of water to go with our meal, Also the waitress removed the cutlery after the starters & my partner had no knife to eat her meal , took an age to find the waitress ,Had other meals in Broadway restaurants & they are a different class Richard
