The Morrison staff are always super friendly and helpful!
Food wasn't good. Service was fine.
Fabulous afternoon tea, beautiful venue and great location. Friendly service too.
I booked afternoon tea for 4 people on Saturday afternoon two weeks ago. I specified 2 teas for coeliacs and 2 regular. One of our party was ill on the day and could not make it. There didnt appear to be anyone to check in with on arrival so we had to queue at the bar to request to be seated. There wasnt much atmosphere in the area we were put in towards the front window and the seating wasnt overly comfortable so we didnt really relax. When we were served we were presented with trays that we clearly not gluten free despite the booking so we had to send two teas back. It took a half hour to get the GF options by which time we were starving. The food was fine but nothing special. For what it was, none of us felt it was value for money and does not compare favourably with other locations in Dublin. The service overall was poor. We didnt feel we had experienced a 'treat' so much as a fairly standard tea and sambo with a scone in a hotel lobby. With a bill of over €100, we expected more.
We had a very nice Sparkling Afternoon Tea
Very friendly staff. Gentleman's tea not just for gentlemen! Lovely
Gentlemens high tea Excellent idea and tastes great
We done gentlemen's tea...we got great service ,food was fab such value for money and tasted delish. ...would highly recommend.
We both enjoyed the Gentlemen's Afternoon Tea experience, perhaps a choice of beers would be a good idea.
Friendly staff, great service wonderful food
Lovely staff, very welcoming. Great afternoon tea in relaxing surroundings
So I would say the tea service was really not worth it. The food was good although the tea and coffee were weird at best for what is considered "high tea". Bagged tea is really odd for a tea service. Also we didn't get any refills, or honestly our order correct. When we arrived it was almost like we were not welcome. The hotel is nice although kindn of what you'd expect for a hotel like the Morrison.
Went for gentlemans tea which was presented very well and tasted as good as it looked. Neither i or my husband like beer and it was no problem to get another drink with our meal instead. Staff were friendly and it is a great city centre location.
Great food and service
I organised a surprise birthday afternoon tea event with the help of the wonderful staff in the Morrison. Our party included gluten-free members who were catered for without fuss and received equally delightful cakes and sandwiches. Even a surprise diary free member was no trouble. The afternoon tea was delicious and most of the group, amazingly, were stuffed. The gentleman's tea was also delicious. I found the Morrison, Kirsty, and the rest of the staff extremely helpful and look forward to my next excuse to dine in the lovely surroundings of this stylish hotel. Thanks
a consistent favorite
Gorgeous food, excellent service and a really beautiful hotel. We were a mixed aged group - mid-40''s to mid-80's and all really enjoyed our treat lunch. The hotel was comfortable and manageable to navigate for my elderly mother in law too. Thank you.
Great time. Thanks.
the staff alone would bring you back here. There's a girl blonde hair, glasses. She was so friendly toward us with our 2girls. Food was delish too.
Had requested a table by the window....did not get it nor was request acknowledged. The setting for our table was in the bar by the entrance....less than tranquil. Servers were attentive and food and presentation of the food were excellent. However, the lack of ambience which is part of a high tea experience, would cause me to NOT recommend it....especially for the price charged!
Went for afternoon tea. Great value when compared to other hotels in Dublin city centre.
No complaints, special mention for the superb staff
The quality of service, food and ambience was first rate. I was also impressed by the fact that, when upon arrival to set out place name cards 45 minutes ahead and discovering that the seating arrangements were not as I had expected due probably to a miscommunication earlier on my part,, the hotel staff immediately made the changes I requested pleasantly and efficiently. I could not have been more pleased with every aspect of the evening.
I visited the Morrison Hotel last Saturday the 12th of August for afternoon tea. The staff were so friendly and couldn't do enough for us. It was a lovely atmosphere all round and interior is gorgeous. I really loved the bathroom decor, the small towels for drying your hands, lovely soap and hand cream just added to the whole experience. The afternoon tea was absolutely amazing and for a fraction of the price compared to the Westbury, Shelbourne. There was plenty of sandwiches and sweet treats and tea was regularly filled up by very nice staff. Everything was delicious, a member of staff even came down to explain what was on our tray. I would certainly be returning to this hotel for afternoon tea again as I really enjoyed it.
