About Panorama Bistro
It’s fair to say the brand new Panorama Bistro & Terrace at the newly refurbished and iconic Montenotte Hotel is the envy of Cork, with its uninterrupted views out over the river Lee and city beyond. But it’s not just the scenery that attracts diners. Our chefs have worked hard to deliver inspired menus with due regard for provenance.
Afternoon Tea is served daily 12.00 - 16.00
We had a great night. 9 of is had a fab dinner and watched "The Birds" highly recommend
Food was lovely but would have appreciated more vegetables on the table with our mains.
There is a nice setting and atmosphere was nice. Service was good. We had booked for afternoon tea. The pastries were very nice but not enough savoury options as the lunch is advertised with sandwiches. Very poor value for money.
Really could not fault anything, food, service, atmosphere 10/10. We can't wait to come back!
Views and starters were really good, but main courses were warm rather than hot and service was friendly but disorganised.
I was very disappointed with the parking situation. There was nowhere for me to park my car on Saturday evening after attempting a few different areas but overall we had a fantastic time and Deirdre on reception was brilliant.
Everything was fantastic! Service, ambiance, and food were all outstanding!
Apart from our experience with our waiter (see my feedback to the hotel), the food was fantastic and the atmosphere was lovely, very relaxing, you've a very nice hotel albeit some of your staff could do with being more friendly and more responsive.
Incredible experience all around, staff were amazing
Staff were fantastic. Food was very tasty. Only negative was the speed at which we were served. It did feel like one plate was taken away and another put in front of us. However we did ask for a break before desert and it wasn't an issue.
The staff in the restaurant were lovely it was mostly male the night we were there. Very friendly and helpful
We had a pleasant evening at the Panorama Bistro overlooking the city . I had the goats cheese starter which was delightful, and my husband had the fish cakes which he loved. I had the porksteak but would have preferred maybe a pepper sauce instead of the mustard sauce but that's just me . My husband had the fish & chips. We had a gorgeous bottle of red wine with our meal. We then saw the movie The Young Offenders presented by Chris Walley, which was really enjoyable in a very plush cinema. Will be back , thank you
A wonderful dining experience. A buzzing atmosphere. Service was prrompt and with a smile. The background piano music added to the ambiance. Were so relaxed we decided to stay the night and enjoy a leisurely breakfast. Well done to chefs serving staff and managers. A truly enjoyable dining experience.
We had a fantastic evening, food was lovely, staff were very friendly and helpful. We look forward to coming back again.
The worst service I have ever experienced. Mains arrived when starters plates were still on the table. Ordered surf and turf, steak medium rare which was so tough and totally overcooked, prawns looked like they came straight from a freezer on a cocktail stick, chips were raw. Duck also so overcooked - it was dry. Nobody came to our table between 9.15 and 10.20 to check if we needed drinks or anything else with our mains. Tried to order dessert but when nobody came to our table at 11.10 with some of the mains plates still remaining we asked for the bill despite really wanting it. Food was totally over priced for the poor quality received and appalling service.
Piano player was lovely to hear in the background whilst having dinner
We went for our 1 year wedding anniversary and it was fantastic we got a table by the Window.. food was so good an our waitress was brilliant..would 100% recommend it
We had afternoon tea which was heavy on the desserts but the waitress offered us more sandwich which we didn't need. The staff 2 in particular a male and female were friendly, efficient and thoughtful, one even offered to take a picture of us without any prompt! Afternoon tea was so well priced and done perfectly, with a balance of detail and not over fussing. I can't wait to come back!
The restaurant setting is amazing, great choice on the menu. Only bad point - food was very rushed. Starters while delicious were brought out very fast & in turn dinner was brought out about 10 mins after clearing starter plates away. Felt like someone was waiting for our table when what we really wanted to do was relax before heading out. Irish coffee was the best i have ever tasted though! Would recommend and would go back but a lot more time needs to be given to let the food settle!
Lovely food,great service
Very enjoyable evening, food great cinema fantastic was just a great experience all round!
The changed to this Hotel are remarkable. It is clear to see how the Bistro won an award this year. The views are spectacular. The complimentary treats really added to our celebration and was very much appreciated. Thank You. I would have liked a little more lighting around the steps on the way down to the gardens but otherwise magical design.
This was my first time back to The Montenotte since the refurbishment and I was amazed at the transformation. Beautiful, relaxed setting. The food was amazing and as a vegetarian I was thrilled with the tailored vegetarian menu. We also visited the Cameo theatre and were again thrilled with the experience. Amazing friendly staff also...I honestly can't say enough good things:) I'm looking forward to my next visit x
I brought my mother for afternoon tea and she really enjoyed it. The only thing I would say is she is 93 and a plain eater so the fact that the savoury items weren't finger sandwiches it was a shame as she didn't eat any of the savourys. And I did find it hard to get someone's attention for a refilll for our coffee. It was very busy and I really couldn't blame the staff as they were really nice.
Waiting a bit at the front desk but from then on brilliant! Except for no drinks menu on the table, was unsure what to order to drink.
