Fabulous food, wine list, and service with spectacular views
We enjoyed a very special lunch at the Portrait restaurant, service was very attentive and food was delicious.
We thoroughly enjoyed Sunday lunch - one had the traditional roast and the other fish. The atmosphere was comfortable, the service good and the good excellent. Will certainly return.
we love to bring friends who are visiting britain to your restaurant -- great architecture (love that escalator!), fabulous view, very friendly staff and good food. unbeatable combination!
One of the best restaurant meals all round that we have had for quite a while. We particularly enjoyed the quality and freshness of the ingredients Our waitress whose name I forget was quite delightful.
Beautiful venue with incredible views and delicious food
Our waitress (a smiley lady from Sicily) absolutely made our evening. She explained the dishes well. She had good knowledge of wine too. She was very helpful getting our food to us quickly as she had asked if we were going to the theatre later that evening. Splendid meal with wonderful views over London.
I'm a frequent visitor to the Portrait Restaurant. Last night did not live up to the normal excellence in quality of food or service. Nothing was bad but just not quite good enough. the food was adequate rather than first rate and the service was lacking in attention. Not a bad evening but below your usual high standards.
The service we were given yesterday was absolutely fantastic and made the celebration all the more special. Thank you very much.
My second visit to Portrait and I was delighted once more. The food was delicious, the service very friendly and attentive and the surroundings are fabulous.
After a week of disappointing British food we were expecting more from this place. A rissole and a splodge of mashed potato do not a great dinner make.
Great setting and good service with delicious food
Overall a lovely dining experience - food delicious but drinks rather expensive. Service excellent.
Horrible slow and rude service. Asked 4 times for our drink, never came and the steak was tough as a boot! I’m a member and would never go back!
Birthday celebration with my sister - thank you for making it special. The sea trout was gorgeous.
Portrait is one of our "go to" restaurants on our bi-annual visits to London. The atmosphere is a bit noisy but in light of the fine food and excellent service we overlook this slight annoyance.
Delicious food and wine, great service and a stunning view.
Only criticism is that the restaurant is rather noisy - difficult to hold a conversation if one is hard of hearing.
Delicious as always
Great place. We had a set menu which was a good deal. It was a busy Saturday lunch, so it was a little noisy but it was not too bad. Food was good. We had a lovely afternoon.
A delightful leisurely Sunday lunch with an old friend - the service was particularly good and our waitress made helpful suggestions about the menu and readily accommodated a couple of changes we wanted to make.
Starter was a bit uninspired but main course was good. Two of our mains were incorrect and had to be returned.
All excellent. Thank you.
