About Quay 3
Quay Three is a modern restaurant and bar based at the heart of Swansea’s thriving SA1 development. Enjoy lunch or dinner whilst soaking in the panoramic views of the marina. You’ll be forgiven if you mistake the setting for a glamorous Mediterranean city.
Our vintage furnishings and unique ornaments combined with the exposed industrial ceiling, has created a stylish environment befitting of the impressive setting.
Afternoon Tea is served Friday to Sunday 12.00-16.00
Lovely setting, lovely food, will return
Held my sisters baby shower here the food was lovely and the service was great they couldn’t do enough to help
Had afternoon tea and found it very disappointing- waited half an hour for afternoon tea to come to table and had to get a waiter to ask for tea as not offered, not offered drinks at any stage, no one checked how things were or if we wanted more drinks, no one came to clear table (to get anything I had to get the waiter myself and even to settle bill was a pain!), on arrival of afternoon tea stand was told that Jam was to follow shortly, waited at least 30 mins more and asked about jam again, waiter left and did not come back, got hold of him another 45 mins later to ask about Jam to be told you had run out sorry (i could have gone to co-op next door myself 20 times over and got jam for less than a pound so this is not an acceptable excuse, especially given the price). The sandwiches were pathetically small with very cheap fillings and were soggy (particularly the cucumber and tuna sandwiches reminded me of being in school when your mum makes them in advance and by lunchtime they are floppy). I had no issue with the scone and cakes themselves and had the sandwiches been up to scratch and the service even mediocre I would have been much happier. What makes it worse is that that most of the people around us were also having afternoon tea so how hard can it be to concentrate on getting it right? This is the first time in years I've not left a tip. I think you need more staff or you shouldn't take more bookings than you can handle. Basic service was lacking and it is such a shame because you have a great venue. Will not be back.
Had To ask for tea, coffee, sugar had to ask for sandwiches and which had been ordered when booked, then waited a good 20 mins for sandwiches, no service provided as such just left on a table to our own devices, had to go to bar to ask for drinks, bill and anything else required during meal. It was not particularly busy considering it’s not a massive restaurant
The staff, the tapas and the atmosphere were all amazing. I would highly recommend and will definitely be going back.
Super food, beautifully cooked fish, and awesome drinks ,thank you
Great day .... will be back again...
I have never in all my years on this earth, enjoyed eating somewhere as much as Quay 3! The food was spectacular, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I will make it my mission in life to make sure everyone knows about this wonderful place Thank you so much for a fantastic evening, I can’t wait to return
Lovely afternoon with our friends and son yesterday, the staff were exceptionally helpful and welcoming. Sandwiches and cakes were gorgeous, couldn’t fault it! Only feedback is I would expect two pots of tea on the table for four people or a little faster bringing tea refills, other than that perfect Afternoon Tea! Thank you
Amazing food and great service.
Lovely afternoon tea, beautiful setting.
Kayleigh, your waitress is an absolute star! Extremely knowledgeable about the menu and very friendly.
The team were very friendly, food was fantastic and a gorgeous view to top it off. Will certainly be back!
We all teally enjoyed our food. Good selection to coose from to suit all of us and none of us were dissappointed full of flavour. We will be back thank you
Lovely afternoon tea - good choice of sandwiches and cakes. Food was delicious
Although the afternoon tea was lovely, there wasn’t enough Jam or Cream given for the scones. We had to share one pot of each between 10 people. Tea and Coffee was meant to be unlimited but there were several occasions where someone had to find someone to ask for the pots to be re filled and more milk be brought out etc. It was very quiet so no reason for staff not to be more attentive.
Food was outstanding and service was great. I went with a group and we all enjoyed our food. I took up the birthday offer and had my main meal for free. Waiter was very good, we had no problems. Would recommend going there to my friends and would certainly go back.
We really enjoyed our meal. All courses were cooked beautifully. Lovely atmosphere and surroundings. Will definitely be visiting again.
Fabulous food with wonderful service!! Definitely recommend and will definitely return
Amazing service and food, can’t believe I didn’t go sooner!
Lovely relaxed atmosphere, great food and friendly staff
Food ( we had trio of lamb & soup of the day which was complimentary ) Service was outstanding & we had a Lovely view from our table . Would definitely recommend & be revisiting myself
Enjoyed this as a birthday treat
I felt a little disappointed with the afternoon tea as I'd read your website and was really taken in by the sounds of a 'quirky' afternoon tea, on picnic tables etc... I thought it sounded something a little different, a nice twist and hoped the food would also reflect this. I also saw the afternoon tea on your Instagram page and so was expecting great things as a treat. Unfortunately we didn't have the option of decaf tea- both my pregnant friend and myself are caffeine free and so this was disappointing. You did accommodate gluten free and vegetarian which we were both grateful for. However, the vegetarian sandwiches were just variations of cheese and the gluten free options were very dry and bland. All ok but not delicious. Some chutney or something exciting in terms of flavour would have been nice- different to the norm. The food was presented on slates not picnic benches. Again this was fine just not what we had expected. It was lovely to have unlimited refills for our tea- we both enjoyed our scones and the atmosphere within Quay 3 is really relaxed and the twinkly lights add to a calm and relaxed vibe. The staff were really friendly and attentive. We would come again for a meal as we've been before and the food was delicious but we wouldn't make another afternoon tea booking.
Good service and everything was really good. Nice view of the marina.
