Staff were amazing, attentive and informative
We had a wonderful afternoon tea and our waiter Simon was brilliant! He is a complete credit to your restaurant, and his attention to detail was perfect. Thank you Simon!
It was enjoyable but didn’t think the food was worth the money charged
Can not fault anything. Food was lovely, service was excellent. Highly recommend Celtic afternoon tea
Hi.it was for my sisters birthday.azmat was very good ....very helpful and came over to chat to my sister...... my sister said it was a lovely.thank all staff.
The whole event was delightful with the staff attentive and very professional.
From start to finish superb service, excellent afternoon tea in lovely surroundings.
Received a warm welcome and all staff knew about my friend’s dietary requirements. We noted that none of the tables had been cleared, the restaurant looked very untidy. We ordered our drinks, but our food came first. We had to ask an additional two times to get our drinks. Not many staff around had to wander around to find someone. Food was only okay. Had obviously been made in the morning as the sandwich fillings had bled into the bread and the cakes and scones had really dried out. I had previously had afternoon tea but it was in the Cen restaurant over the summer and was very impressed. Hence the return visit for my friends 30th but to be honest was a bit disappointed this time.
I had a drink in Merlin's bar first and mentioned it was my birthday and Matt brought me a very unexpected complimentary glass of prosecco and one for my friend. This made me feel extra special and I was very grateful. I love to visit the Celtic manor and would always recommend it highly .
Very good value for menu Excellent varied range of sandwiches and cakes
On arrival we were greeted by a very nice chap and seated accordingly in the most beautiful room, quite disappointed in the wait for service, and some of the bread on the finger sandwiches was beginning to harden which seems it had been hanging around uncovered for some time, included in the Afternoon tea was unlimited Tea and Coffee we had look to around for a member of staff to re-order, when the bill came I was over charged it was however put right, given that it was still a pleasant afternoon.
Waited a little longer for the food to arrive than I had expected -but this did not effect the overall experience .
The sandwich menu had a lot of fish in it, which 3 out of 4 us didn't like unfortunately. We waited quite a long time to have someone approach is when we got there and we had to find someone to help us. We also didn't know where to go as the olive tree wasn't well signposted. Otherwise, the food we did like was lovely and the coffee was great. The glasses of prosecco for the birthday girls were a lovely touch too. With the 20% off I thought it was good value, however I wouldn't pay full price.
Lovely chilled afternoon spent at the Olive Tree
EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE, AMAZING FOOD, WONDERFULL SETTING. WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMED THIS EXPERIENCE.
Staff were very polite and friendly but it was very busy and took us a while to get someone's attention. I love coming here for aftetnoon tea and the gluten free choices were delicious but a menu would have been appreciated for gluten free to know what I was eating as some cakes were different to the ones my fiance had. Perhaps some blinds would be suitable in the conservatory as the sun was shining brightly that day (not that I'm complaining about the lovely weather) but we were sat in the window and it was extremely warm and bright.
Highly enjoyed will be back thank you
Had a wonderful afternoon out - the sun was shining, lovely atmosphere, great service, and the cakes were delicious and plentiful! Will definitely be returning
The staff were lovely and catered for our every need, lovely afternoon tea and amazing service
Me and my girlfriend have been coming for afternoon tea at the Celtic manor for quite some time now and we continue to come back because it is the best in South Wales. We are always very happy with the food. The past few times we have come the standard of the service has declined and is now very poor, we attended on feb 14th at 3pm and were very disappointed with the service. Our tea order was taken without even being shown a menu, when I couldn’t decide on what tea to order and said we did not have a menu one was abruptly shoved into my hands, no explanation of the teas were given. When the tea arrived it was poured and spilled over our table. We then waited for our sandwiches while watching the chaos around us unfold. Our sandwiches then arrived, again no one explained what each sandwich was, which used to happen every time and what shocked me even more was that my girlfriend who is a vegetarian had her sandwiches served to her squashed on to the same plate as my meat sandwiches. We were very disappointed with the overall experience and will not be returning which is a shame because we like coming to the Celtic manor.
Only rated 4 stars purely due to the long wait to be seated which I believe was a problem with technical issues. Gustodio the service supervisor compensated us with a free glass of prosecco which was very much appreciated.
First visit..very good. Some crisps would be a good side to have with sandwiches- which were excellent. Scones delicious.. cakes a bit 'synthetic' tasting...apart from almond tart which was v good. Maybe a small choc eclair? Always a winner. Service excellent. Enjoyed our visit very much...many thanks.
Food was amazing, presented in a wonderful atmosphere made you feel that you were really special. Staff are welcoming and make sure you are well looked after. Will definitely be coming back.
