The staff worked so hard and made our afternoon one of ghe best we've had in a long time. Thank you so much
We had a very nice Sunday lunch at the Boathouse. The food was delicious and the service excelent.
Great food and very friendly and welcoming staff
Had an amazing time. Food was piping hot and plenty. Drinks were flowing. Staff were very helpful and friendly under difficult circumstances.
We had an absolutely amazing afternoon. Everything was great from the food & drink to the entertainment and the service was first class. The only thing that put a slight damper on it was we couldn’t dance but that was due to Covid regulations and beyond your control.
The atmosphere was great with the live singer, bottomless Prosecco and very good food and service. Despite Covid rules applying it didn’t interfere with my enjoyment.
I think I speak on behalf of our whole table when I say this event was superb. From start to finish. Service attentive, nothing was a problem for our server Natalie. Food very good value for money and lots of it. Singer (who I have seen before) brilliant - taking into account C19 rules, she was fun and upbeat. This even saved my friends birthday we would book again in a heartbeat if another one was organised. Such a fun upbeat event - well done!
Lovely afternoon, singer was excellent. Food was lovely, our only gripe is that you had run out of the main course that 3 of us had ordered! It did seem that we were the last to get served, which might be the reason for that. Having said that, a lovely afternoon that I would recommend to others.
All 5 of us had a fabulous afternoon the staff were amazing and kept us under control and safe! I have been before and wasn’t overly impressed with the food but this time it was delicious. Thank you to all the staff for a fab service in these tough times xx
Amazing service such friendly staff.
Shouldn't put a table right next to the door to the outside used by smokers. We were intermittently cold and it made it uncomfortably.
Service was perfect. The staff r really on the ball and look after you very well. Dinner was gorgeous. We come often because it’s so good. Would recommend to anyone.
Great service, Good food. It was an 80s evening but only just, not sure music reached past 1985! George Benson, Lionel Richie and similar ... but rather disappointing as teenage years were in the 80s so many hits but not at this event.
Good service, good covid measures in place, friendly, very reasonably priced.
Fantastic event, would def come again! Great staff, food & singer Thanks for a brilliant evening:)
We have been going to the Boathouse for many years now, the service is great and the staff are so friendly and welcoming and you can see they've all worked so hard to keep the Boathouse open even through these strange times with social distancing etc but we really do enjoy our Sunday lunches there and would recommend it to anyone.
lovely meal, excellent service. Covid regulations adhered to. We all enjoyed the experience and will book again.
Been coming here for years - always great food and all the staff are so helpful and friendly. Very Covid safe at this current time too.
Thanks for a great night!
Thanks to everyone working at The Boathouse for making it such a fabulous evening under difficult circumstances. It was lovely to listen to live music again. The food was delicious. xxx
It’s always a nice treat to come here! Lovely food, great atmosphere your not rushed to give your table back and the staff are all friendly and helpful. It’s also also very Covid safe as there is plenty of space between tables. It’s definitely worth a try if you’ve never been
The location of the Boathouse is wonderful, overlooking the lake and the park. The large picture windows make the restaurant very light which is great. However, it is in serious need of updating and is very 1970s/1980s in décor. I felt a little bit like I was in a corporate environment for some reason. Our starters were great and made us look forward even more to the carvery. Unfortunately, the carvery is not very good. The meat was fine and plenty of it (probably too much). The potatoes were dry and over hard, no fluffiness inside - wondered if they were frozen and then deep fried or something - they didn't have the texture of normal roast potatoes. Like they were artificial in some way. The veg was bland and uninspiring. However, the desserts were delicious. A shame, since it was the carvery that we were going for in particular.
Waitresses were friendly and helpful. Food was good though a few more spuds would have been helpful. The meal is mainly padded out with vegetables which did makes me wonder whether it was worth the amount charged.. Also the lower part of the building could put customers off due to rubbish strewn, taped off toilets and a general delapidated appearance...
Food and service was brilliant
Lovely Sunday Roast for mum’s birthday. Friendly service in a safe environment.
