The food was delicious and the staff could not have been more helpful!
Lovely breakfast. Excellent service. Would recommend.
I held my daughter’s baby shower in the room upstairs. It was the happiest of days made all the more special by the lovely surroundings, brilliant staff and lovely food. Thank you all so much for a wonderful day - many guests commented that it was the best baby shower they’d ever been too!
Lovely place! Lovely atmosphere, brilliant service, would love it to be a little bit less expensive. Had a wonderful time - thank you!
Was disappointed as I had made a reservation and received a email confirming it only to find when we arrived you had no booking for us so we had to stand about for 10 minutes waiting for somebody to find us a spare chair when quite clearly there were tables available. It made us all feel really uncomfortable as people were looking at us🤔
We had a lovely evening and enjoyed everything. Thanks very much and we look forward to coming again
Nice lunchtime meal. Great staff and great venue
Beautiful room with wonderful food and service was second to none! Another totally enjoyable evening for our valentines day meal and can’t wait to go to the Brierley again.
As always a friendly, professional experience in a superb environment. Helen and the corporate events team are a class act....

Another gorgeous experience at Acklam Hall. It’s my favourite venue in Middlesbrough by far
I would like to say how pleased I was to try your evening menu as I’ve only ever had Sunday lunch with you which is lovely. Our evening meal on valentines night surpassed my expectations and certainly did not disappoint the flavours in your cooking I could taste all the ingredients used and blended beautifully any restaurant is only as good as it’s chef and you have a fabulous chef can’t wait to come again thank you for your excellent service and lovely staff I would recommend Acklam Hall to anyone who has not tried your excellent menu keep up your hard work .
Staff were great. Really unimpressed with how packed the bar restaurant was and how you had to squeeze past people when trying to go to the bathroom. Also. Some of the scones and sandwiches weren’t as fresh as they should have been. Considering I paid almost £100 for three afternoon teas and drinks, the least I expected was some feedback when I comented on their freshness. Scones aren’t supposed to crumble if they had been made fresh that day? The service was great and couldn’t fault the staff in that respect.
This was my third visit for afternoon tea. I cannot recommend this venue highly enough.
Delicious afternoon tea. Pleasant knowledgeable waitress. Good cheese scone, fresh pannecotta, delish choc mousse. The Brierly has an atmosphere all of its own. One issue I had with the decor. The grey nets st the window made the room ratherdark and gloomy on a not very bright Winters day.
The crab starter was terrible it tasted burnt The bread and olives were amazing ! The Seabass was lovely The parmo was ok .... but nothing to write home about but!!!!! The service was second to none .... I will return and try something else off the menu ... I can’t fault the atmosphere or the service ....A* for that!
Great food great service, reasonably priced
Lovely venue with delicious food and excellent staff, really enjoy coming here.
Lovely setting, great service and wonderful food!
Delightful fleet of staff. Very accommodating with the kids. Above and beyond for even an already high standard establishment.
Food was fantastic !
