About The Conservatory
Join us for Afternoon Tea at The River Room Conservatory. A magnificent bespoke glass creation that perfectly frames the stunning setting of the cascading River Maine and lush parkland. A most splendid backdrop in which you can enjoy the decadence of a traditional Afternoon Tea.
Afternoon Tea is served daily 12.00-17.30
A lovely experience. Afternoon tea in the River Room was lovely attended to by friendly, helpful staff.
Excellent service and the staffs attention to detail was amazing. My Mum and my two daughters had a brilliant afternoon followed by a beautiful walk around the grounds. Cant wait to visit again.
I would of just liked a option where I got to pick sandwiches from a menu. My 3 stars for service is only down to no one explaining to us what way it works. The 3 others in my party had never had afternoon tea and were given menus by staff and then they left. The 3 others were left a bit unsure of what to do. Myself, being the only one who has had several afternoon tea’s in various places was wondering whether it was a set menu or whether you choose sandwiches as some ask you to pick two types you would like, some ask for you to pick 1 and then others give you one of each that is shown on the menu. I would of liked someone to just explain to the party what way it worked.
Absolutely amazing time we will definitely be back
Some more savoury food and less sweet for me but all round excellent
Excellent knowledge of the wide variety of gins cocktails and mixers, very very friendly and always willing to listen and cater for each individual resident I would highly recommend this experience
The food is delicious, particularly the scones and the soup but all is really tasty. It is expensive but you can try as many teas and coffees (unlimited) as you like. The room is lovely (the entire hotel is amazing) and the service was great. There is a lot of sweet treats and, for my taste I would prefer a few more savoury and less sweet. We couldn't eat it all on the day so took the remainder away for later.
Lovely way to spend an afternoon in lovely surroundings.
Excellent service and beautiful surrounding. Gorgeous food.
Staff are absolutely phenomenal
Absolutely beautiful. More than highly recommend, staff are an absolute credit to the Galgorm.
I came for afternoon tea on the 29th June and specifically booked it for 3pm/3.30pm because the live music would be over by then as per the confirmation email I received. My father has hearing issues and we were placed right in front of the piano so could barely have a conversation it was so loud. We asked multiple times when the music was finishing as it was supposed to have already been over, and if it could be turned down. We also asked to move tables to one further from the piano but we were refused. Also, the savoury food was highly disappointing - my chicken sandwich had the tiniest little cube of chicken it in and 2 pieces of sweetcorn. It was essentially a dry brioche roll. On a more positive note, the sweet food was great.
We had a lovely lunch and a glass of wine in the conservatory. We also had a cocktail class which was very well run and delivered with great enthusiasm and service plus the gin cocktails were yum
Lovely afternoon celebrating our daughter's graduation. The "congratulations" message and cupcake were a lovely surprise.
Wow wow wow!!! I can't rate our experience highly enough. The attention to detail was sublime. Every bite was devine and beautifully presented. The subtle airbrushed glitter didn't go unnoticed! The setting overlooking the river, in such a lovely room adds to the whole special experience. The wonderful staff were friendly, professional and attentive. Service was top notch. We regularly do high tea and both agree that it was the best we have had yet. Well done and many thanks to the whole team!
Get day out and lovely afternoon tea. The staff where lovely and tended to all our needs
Staff and food were both amazing. We are already hoping to book to come back again very soon!
Great afternoon tea experience
First experience during the week of afternoon tea and thermal village . Could not make fault of anything during our time at the Galgorm. Staff were more than helpful and always smiling. Can not wait to return
As ever The Conservatory did not disappoint. This has to be the finest afternoon tea in all of Ireland. I look forward to many more 🥂
Lovely setting. The food is really nice. The staff are fantastic. It's a lovely way to spend your afternoon. They also catered for my son, who is a fussy eater. They made sandwiches that he loved.
Staff are the nicest staff Iv ever come across. Food amazing. Couldn’t recommend enough
