About The Litton
Country pub with 12 boutique guest rooms
Fantastic Country Pub with excellent atmosphere and even better food and drink
There was a problem with one of our main courses but it was resolved excellently. Thank yoy
This was our first visit. All staff were friendly and welcoming, service was efficient and helpful. The food was very good. We were particularly pleased that even on a Monday evening there was a good vibe. we had a very enjoyable evening.
Lovely welcome. Relaxed atmosphere. Great food.
The Litton has proved itself to be one of the best local pubs in the area. The service is excellent with consistently good food. Well done to the Litton team for all your hard work in maintaining such high standards.
Out of the visit to this stunning place, my only complaint (and this is scraping the barrel) was that the Yorkshire pudding was a bit hard, but that aside the food was really full of flavour, the staff really friendly and attentive, the decor and atmosphere was superb and we will definitely be returning to this great spot of the area again.
Has a food reservation for mother’s day for 6 of us. We had two prams which is typically a pain, however, not only were there plenty of staff who were understanding, the food was excellent and given how busy they were, you would never have known by the service.
The food was really good and excellent service but the food service was far too quick, as soon as we ordered the food arrived, we would have liked a little time to enjoy our drinks before the food arrived. Everything else was really good, we will be back and highly recommend a visit.
A very lovely meal and staff were exceptionally helpful, polite and efficient, particularly considering it was a very busy Mother's Day! I would have given 5 stars for food and drink but the scampi that I had for starter was slightly overcooked and the breadcrumbs a bit burned and also the lemon meringue was just a bit of a sloppy mess - tasted lovely but the 'curd' hadn't set and the meringue was very soft so ended up in a bit of a lemony puddle on the plate. Everything else though was superb! The beef and lamb were both delicious and all vegetables beautifully cooked. We'll definitely be back for more and would certainly recommend you to all!! Thanks for an overall lovely experience!
Lovely setting, really nice food and great service!
No hesitation in writing a review for you - we were welcomed and treated like royalty or family! My birthday on busy Mother's Day, but nothing was too much trouble. Gorgeous venue and outstanding service. Thank you - we will be back!
Came for my 30th birthday and was fitted in at short notice when a lot of places would have said they was full. The night was fantastic, the atmosphere was really good as was the live band, balloon man and obviously the food. I have the crispy chicken burger and thought it tasted so good. I have been a fair few times since it opened last year and will continue to do so as I think it’s one of the best pubs in the area.
Two of the group of four had the pasta dish and both found it to be disappointingly bland. Not enough flavour. The almond financier was also not overly impressive.
Fantastic Sunday roast. I had roast beef which was incredibly lean and beautifully cooked. The pork belly was also delicious and beautifully cooked. Good selection of veg already on the plate, and nice to also have extra cauliflower cheese brought to the table.
We ate in the pub on 2nd March during the worst of the recent snow. The food was excellent, albeit we were a bit surprised there was a significantly reduced menu. Clearly deliveries had not been able to get in, but given the St David's day menu planned the night before, we thought there might be a fuller menu. That said, due to the weather, staff levels were very low (only Tom and Lucy and, I think, 1 chef) and they did an outstanding job of managing a very busy evening. Despite all the challenges they remained, positive and attentive, and they pulled off a great evening under difficult circumstances.
The meal we had was fantastic and cooked to the highest standard, staff were friendly and very helpful and the restaurant it’s self was beautifully decorated. Would highly recommend and look forward to coming back.
food was great but the wine by the glass was very expensive. £9.30 for a large Pino Grigio is the most I have paid anywhere
Food nice - although a bit more expensive than other pubs. Noisy people at the bar whilst diners eating which was a little distracting.
Very friendly staff and good food in lovely premises
We had a great evening and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We’d certainly come back if we were in the area. The pub looks great and the staff were really friendly.
Really good meal. Shame the onion rings were missed, otherwise it would have been 5 stars!
The staff were great and help create a great evening.
The menu was nice but the choice was poor as there was not enough steak or fish on the menu. Children's meals were rather expensive at £10. Service excellent and the building/atmosphere was lovely.
Lovely breakfast - staff went out of their way to make my mother-in-law's birthday special. Thanks!
had a lovely evening. menu choices were brilliant best i have seen at any restaurant for a while. service was spot on -thank you
