About Rhinefield House Hotel
At Rhinefield House Hotel we delight guests with our traditional afternoon tea. What better place to enjoy this fine tradition than in this historic country house. Gaze out the ceiling high windows in either our Lounge Bar or Grill Room and take in the view whilst savouring each of our carefully prepared pastries, dainty sandwiches and the finest leaf tea, served to perfection.
We enjoyed afternoon tea on the terrace on a beautiful spring day. The service was friendly, unhurried and considerate. The atmosphere was perfect and food was excellent.
2nd time I've visited for afternoon tea. Will definitely be a 3rd. Hopefully one day I'll get to stay over too
Delicious food in a beautiful setting. We had a lovely afternoon and I would highly recommend visiting Rhinefield House Hotel.
I booked this as a special treat for my mum for her birthday, i must say I was a little underwhelmed if I’m honest, I personally felt a few of the items where too dry & it was very expensive for that fact only really. I’m more than happy to pay a good price for good food & it was just a bit average. There were also lots of little fly’s around our table which was rather annoying! The fudge, lemon meringue & chocolate cake were amazing!! We were also missing our raspberry’s off the top of our cakes (we didn’t realise this until we saw others coming out!)
Enjoyable afternoon tea with excellent champagne served in a lovely setting.
Our afternoon Tea was lovely, we had plenty of lovely food & Tea to drink, my only request would be rather than give you more than enough Tea at the start, give just enough for a couple of cups each & then come & ask if a refill is required. we were told we could ask for any more drinks, but felt its polite to finish what you have which is rather cold by halfway through the tea. Very minor, but would be welcomed. Hoping to try an evening meal next time...
We had the champagne afternoon tea. Superb choice of sandwiches and cakes. Can’t fault any of it, but perhaps a savoury pastry might be a nice addition? The setting is fabulous - we enjoyed a drink on the terrace afterwards followed by a leisurely stroll around the stunning grounds. Highly recommend a visit!
We had a lovely afternoon tea with you on Saturday, we sat in the conservatory and felt very indulged! Service was excelled as was the food. We could have stayed much longer but toddler bath times were calling us back. Thanks for a wonderful relaxing afternoon.
I totally resent you adding a 10% optional gratuity to the bill without telling me beforehand . And yes I checked the menu and it’s in the small print but I still want the option at the time if paying the bill. Spoilt the entire day( wedding anniversary ).
Lovely food but unfortunately service was very disappointing. when we arrived we didn't have a table and were put one one that was too small, we asked to move and 30mins later (after no offers of drinks) were moved to a tall table in the conservatory because 'no other tables were available' when we were in fact one of just 2 tables being used the entire time.. when tea finally did arrive we had to ask for milk? and it seemed a hassle for one of our party to have apple juice instead of tea. Nobody checked on us and we had to chase for the bill. Lovely food but service absolutely not worth the money. Real shame.
Parking ( disabled) was a bit of an issue as the only available ones were reserved! Staff were very helpful when using the accessible lift although there was a bit of a wait as one particular lift had to be operated by a member of staff.
Very nice relaxing day out
Lovely setting. Afternoon tea however, the sandwiches were stale on one side indicating that they had been hanging around for a while. Would have preferred to have been asked when we would have liked the champagne rather than been given it straight away as it took 20 mins for the afternoon tea to arrive. Lovely waiters albeit a little slow doing their rounds. Will recommend none the less!
Good sweet and savory selections.
It was great, enjoyable mother’s day treat :)
We came for afternoon tea and had a lovely time. Stunning location and delicious food.
A lovely afternoon tea, in delightful surroundings, to celebrate my husband's birthday. No problem with gluten free. Thanks very much.
5 Stars for everything, service, food and atmosphere... will definitely be visiting again... one of the nicest afternoon teas we’ve ever had ...
Great afternoon Incredbly busy maybe avoid Saturday's! Thank you
Excellent day with service second to none. Will return again to the Rhinefield Hotel all our guests also enjoyed the day
We had the promotional champagne afternoon tea and it was truly spectacular. The staff were friendly and helpful, the food outstanding and it was a beautiful setting to sit back and relax. We will definitely be coming back especially if there are more offers like this!
It was ok - the afternoon tea arrived at 1430 and not the 1400 we had booked, had to ask twice for the coffee to arrive and it was already luke warm. Nice to get a box to takeaway what we couldn't eat though.
Such a beautiful place. We visited for champagne afternoon tea on a 2 for 1 offer. Great value for money. A whole pot of tea and coffee per person! A really lovely atmosphere despite the weather being appalling that day.
The food and drink were as good as ever but the lounge bar seemed understaffed for the afternoon tea session. Staff were unavailable for long periods and at one stage just one person seemed to be both preparing the tea and serving it. Please note that this is not a criticism of the staff (they were working very hard), just a feeling that more staff were needed to offer a quality service.
Enjoyed a very relaxing afternoon in the lounge having afternoon tea. The venue is extra special and the staff looked after us very well. Would recommend.🍰🥂
