Wonderful setting, delicious food and attentive staff
The service was excellent and food was amazing. The staff were professional, attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. Only negative was that black bowl the starter came in. Weird shape to eat out of and doesn’t show off the lovely food it was. We had the burrata and tomato starter. Would def recommend this restaurant to dine in.
Lovely service, such a fun thing to do with friends, very accommodating in providing an non alcoholic drink for the one doing dry January. Would love to do it again.
Slight booking problem on-line. Staff excellent. Meal was a great improvement on the last time we dined although selection of desserts could be better.
Lovely food and service, both for dinner and breakfast.
Delicious, beautifully presented food. Small portion size meant we weren't too full at the end of a 3 course meal but it did get expensive as we ordered 3 sides with main which were please we did as the main portion looked very small. Dining room was lovely, and comfortable and service was excellent. Overall 3 course meal for 2 cost £160 (inc, 2 small beers, 2 large glasses of wine and 2 cocktails. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed it.
Fantastic service, very accommodating. Food was great although portions are quite small.
Amazing, the staff were all very friendly and very accommodating. Beautiful setting for afternoon tea.
We had a fabulous lunch. They booked us into the little room and we had a lovely lunch. The head waiter was superb, helpful, and adaptable as we had two fussy eaters. The rest to the waiting staff were also good. The only downside was the inattentive bar staff whist we were waiting! all in all a fab lunch enjoyed by all and we will be back.
Lovely afternoon, with efficient, courteous service in a quiet tranquil setting. Food portions were good, with a wide choice of tea's. I would highly recommend this as a great family treat.
Fine dining prices were not matched by the quality and taste of the food. The beef fillet comprised two medallions and was poor value. The burrata starter was watery and lacking flavour.
We had a lovely afternoon tea! Wonderful service and lovely setting. Looking forward to coming again soon.
Miscommunication between the bookings team and restaurant staff meant that our booking was not moved as requested, resulting in a frosty greeting and rushed need to order. Sadly this meant we felt it was necessary to skip starters and desserts. The food that came was good (although we could not order any green vegetables - the only vegetables on offer were parsnips). A nice setting with lots of potential. A real shame about our experience.
very helpful chef, food was really great for a carvery
Good meal although portions are not large
I enjoyed the drinks and the main course of beef Fillet but the starter was poor with one single Scallop and a chicken wing served. I sent it back to have the non menu item removed and a second scallop for the Scallops starter I had ordered
Amazing food and drink. Service excellent. Didn't feel rushed. Will definitely come again
We felt the carvery was quite disorganised - dishes kept running out so there were queues, which resulted in the food on the plates going cold. The portion of the meat was quite conservative. The gravy should have been at the end but was in the middle so it was rather chaotic. The deserts were disappointing.
Was obvious that the staff were preparing for other parties that evening but at no point did we feel rushed, which was nice, it was only when everything else had been done that they asked us if we could go to the lounge. A few more savoury sandwiches would have been nice to balance out the sweet. A very pleasurable afternoon. Thank you
We had a lovely time
We had a lovely evening at the Manor Restaurant. We had the tasting menu which was fabulous. The personal there are very professional and service minded. We felt very well looked after.
Some of the sweet additions weren’t great but that wouldn’t prevent us from returning. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon tea and found the service to be well suited and friendly without being too much.
Really enjoyed our Sunday lunch which was a celebration for my son’s birthday. Nice to have the carvery back which gave us a lovely selection of delicious food. Minor negative, I asked for a birthday cake for my son which did not appear! Anyway we enjoyed ourselves and would definitely recommend Foxhills.
Absolutely excellent sunday lunch. Very tasty. Staff very attentive. Bat staff superb and attentive.
