Afternoon Tea is served Tuesday - Saturday 12.00-17.00
Yes we eat there on Saturday 14th October. The food was fantastic, great presentation and very flavoursome. The restaurant we felt was cold, the beer we had to send back due to the "smell" that we were told would be taken off the bill but was not. Also felt the service was poor.
I had the king prawn and chorizo 'lollipops' to start - nothing special, the prawns were chewy and only had one skewer for £8.50! For mains had a beef burger for £15 which again was nothing special and greasy. I shared a cheesecake which was very dense and very rich which neither of us could finish. It was a very disappointing meal, service wasn't great, very over priced and I would unfortunately not return.
Super food - really tasty. Excellent service. The interior was just gorgeous - we all really felt welcomed and at home there. Than, you!
Great meal with good service, we’ll be back for definite. Thank you.
Vast improvement in service since last time
I visited yesterday for afternoon tea with friends. It's the first time we have visited and we thought it was fantastic. Great atmosphere, quirky decor, cosy, excellent food and service outstanding! Will definitely be visiting again.
We had a fantastic lunch at the Pickled Radish and Helen your lovely waitress made us feel really welcome. Your two chefs were great and even made us a special dessert to mark our wedding day, which was really appreciated. Great ambiance and food - will be back and will highly recommend to friends.
We had the lunch time menu which was extremely tasty and fantastic value for money. Great service too and the chef also popped out to check that we were happy with the food. I would 100% recommend it and we hope to go back soon and try something from the maim menu. The only thing that could have been improved on was the temperature in the restaurant was a little cold. It was the first sitting of the day and so maybe it takes some time to warm up.
Great food and service. Always an enjoyable time.
We booked the table for our Son's 21st Birthday celebration. We had a fantastic evening! Although there was a slight delay as it was so busy we were so well looked after! When our meals arrived we were not disappointed. As a family we dine out regularly, all of our group commented how fantastic the food was, so fresh, tasty and beautifully presented! Well done to all the staff, we will be recommending you ! Thank you for a great evening!!
Food was amazing, the service 1st class. Won’t be too long before our next visit.
Thoroughly enjoyed our first visit at The pickled Radish. Excellent food and service. Our waitress was very friendly too. Can't wait to visit soon again.
Lovely place, becoming a favourite. Great place to meet friends for lunch, good value menu, friendly service, delicious food.
Service was excellent.
Lovely food, fab setting, excellent service, took my mum out to treat her and we were not disappointed. Quality food 👍
Went for afternoon tea with the wife, food was high quality and was more than enough. Chef was helpful in changing some of what was offered as I'm not a fan of cheese and there were quite a few cheese based sandwiches and snacks offered originally. Will definitely be returning.
I visited the pickled radish with family to celebrate my grandmothers birthday. We were welcomed by 2 friendly servers who really made us feel at home. Upon looking at the menu, we were slightly disappointed that the previous 3 course menu deal had been discontinued but the head chef was more than accommodating for our "fussy eaters"! He had great banter and really tried his best to keep us happy. The food was delivered swiftly and was absolutely devine - I would definitely recommend the katsu cod burger! Thank you so much for making our experience enjoyable, we look forward to rebooking for afternoon tea in the near future!
I booked the Pickled Radish in Laleston Bridgend for My Nans 70th Birthday. From the time I arrived to decorate with Balloons until the time the 6 of us left we where treated like Royalty. The Waiter was outstanding. He attended to every request we made he was a real gentleman and an asset to the Pickled Radish. I wish I could remember his name but it was so different I wouldn't like to take a guess and offend. He was from Camden. The service was outstanding. We booked the afternoon Tea and it was delicious. We where amazed at the choice of beautifully presented finger sandwiches, macaroons, cakes, donuts, scones etc and there was so much to try we couldn't finish it all. We where able to take everything that we couldn't finish home. My Nan had a wonderful Birthday. Thank you so much from the Birthday Party Table of 6 on the 1st of Sept 2017. We would all highly recommend. Best wishes x
I love this restaurant, so was really looking forward to bring friends for afternoon tea. It was a very enjoyable afternoon, the service was excellent and we weren't rushed so had plenty of time to talk! Whilst the food was very tasty, it didn't quite live up to our expectations... they advertised a stunning menu and it wasn't what we received on the day so I felt somewhat shortchanged. The menu advertised the following: sandwiches and artisan rolls, sausage rolls, leek & cheese tart, butternut squash cappuccino, macaroons, chocolate marquise, doughnuts & custard, scones with cream jam. To start, great service- the tea was bottomless! We did have plenty of lovely sandwiches, but no rolls. The sausage rolls were also tasty, but we had a couple of cheesy puffs instead of the tart we expected. No cappuccino, macaroons or chocolate marquise. Instead a passion fruit cream in shot glass and few 1" cubes of brownie & flapjack?! Final disappointment... the scones were not fresh, or homemade- but clearly shop bought... Such a shame, as this afternoon tea doesn't reflect the skill and ability of the kitchen. For most people this was a filling and tasty afternoon tea, however it wasn't the "something different" we had really looked forward to. I've previously given full 5 stars, and would love to again...
We're moving to the area so we will definitely visit again. Delicious Roast Dinner last Sunday.
A great dining experience and one of our party who is in her eighties said the starter she had was the best she had ever eaten.
Had a lovely afternoon tea in a cute setting, lots of choice and was a really nice treat for my Auntie's birthday.
A slight alteration to the Sunday lunch menu, which is now al la carte rather than set but all still delicious and plentiful. We'll be back!
A pleasant dining experience with good food enriched by the friendly attentive staff.
Was lovely to be with you again and we loved our afternoon tea, but our only complaint is that the Ladies toilet was not cleaned bin looked still full from night before , floor and toilets dirty and hubby said men's dirty as well and pool of water from leek was slippy and dangerous
