About The Red Lion, Bradley
The Red Lion at Bradley is a quintessential village pub in the heart of Staffordshire. Inside you'll find a building lovingly transformed by its new owners but with a wealth of original features, including open fires, oak beams and all the quirkiness of a village pub.
Everyone says the same thing - The Red Lion used to be "The place to go", we are proud to awaken the Lion and hear it ROAR again.
Afternoon Tea is served every Friday and Saturday from 2.30 – 4.00pm
One of the main courses brought out was not according to the order so I had to wait a few minutes whilst my companions ate. I’m vegetarian and a lamb shank was brought out instead of a vegan shepherd's pie! However a complimentary dessert was appreciated as an apology. The food was delicious and otherwise the service was great. We shall return.
Excellent Sunday lunch
Always good food and very friendly hospitable staff who always make you feel very welcome.
Really nice hot food ! (Unlike other places iv been recently with the same name!) Would highly recommend it nice cosy atmosphere and service and staff were excellent.
Staff were very friendly and attentive Fabulous evening - 😊
First time at Red Lion, my favourite out of the Lewis group! Few improvements could be made for me personally, the plates were cold, lobster over cooked & nobody came to us to see if everything was alright or else I would have pointed these things out, next time I would ask for a different table as we were squashed into a tiny space , none of these things would put me off going back though as it's a beautiful pub & restaurant, recommended to friends who are going for lunch today. See you again soon
Lovely meal, the sea bass was beautifully cooked. The front of house team were welcoming and professional.
A well thought out menu this season. The black pudding scotch eggs were served hot and crunchy delicious. The venison was so tender and our friends enjoyed their fish too.
Lovely meal in a really nice atmosphere
My mother in law is disabled and could not use the toilet due to her walker would not go in the rest room This would be great if this could be sorted out.
Seven of us dined with you yesterday. On the whole found the service slow, particularly drink, and the food disappointing. The starters a bit on the small side: one slice of smoked salmon is mean, don't consider it a luxury these days. The goats cheese very poor, used to be curd with pickled vegetables, yesterday a blob of cheese, tasteless figs, honeycomb and pickled onions. Who thought that one up? The beef was tough, the pork lacking in flavour and the vegetables needed seasoning. If I hadn't had guests I would have complained very loudly. Such a shame as the place was so good twelve months ago. I can only think there has been a change of chef and meat supplier. We have been eating with you pretty regularly since the Lewis group took over, in fact I left a five star review on Trip advisor last year, I was not happy with yesterdays meal and hope you will ring me to discuss it if you want to keep my custom.
A truly wonderful experience from start to finish. A great location with wonderful staff and fantastic high end quality food. I will actively recommend this restaurant for years to come (and will certainly visit again!). Thank you for restoring my faith!
Great menu, food and service.
Had a great night, it was my daughter's birthday and she thoroughly enjoyed the evening. Food was delicious as usual and the staff were attentive but not intrusive. Also my wife is coeliac and the Red Lion is one of the few places locally where she can choose from every item on the menu.
Lovely meal and great service Saff were very polite and were very calm and cheerful. Visited on a busy lunch time which was good to see, however it did mean we had quite a wait before we got shown to our table but it was worth the wait
Was rather disappointed with our meal last night. My started was OK, just OK. Black pudding scotch egg. I expected the egg to be runny. It wasn't which wasn't a big deal but the yolk was so very pale which suggested this was not a free range egg. I opted for Pork chop. The pork chop was pink and the fat was white . Fondant potato came as a block of potato was clearly wasn't freshly made as it tasted strange. I explained this to the waiter and he kindly replaced it with some chips. The nicest part of this dish was the calvados sauce. My husband had fillet steak and lobster surf and turf. £28.95 for a piece of fillet , lobster and 3 tiny vegetables. Pay extra £3 for chips . Not good value at all. This was the reason I hadn't chosen to have this dish. The elderly gentleman who came with us had seabass which he enjoyed and was a small enough portion for him . I appreciate there was a large party in but not once throughout the meal did we get asked if we would like anymore drinks. I gave up and went without another. I was overall disappointed with the menu choice, value for money and service. We will not be returning.
Lovely staff, fab setting and beautiful food!
Great food, had a lovely time
Brilliant service and fantastic food once again! Thank you!
Another very enjoyable meal to celebrate a birthday and an anniversary. Food was delicious, as always and staff very attentive. Saturday night was a bit noisy for us as a two, sat at the end of a table for eight...maybe its an age thing and we should settle for lunches.:)
Really enjoyable experience especially as it was the first time my granddaughter has had anything off a menu!
