About The Red Lion, Bradley
The Red Lion at Bradley is a quintessential village pub in the heart of Staffordshire. Inside you'll find a building lovingly transformed by its new owners but with a wealth of original features, including open fires, oak beams and all the quirkiness of a village pub.
Everyone says the same thing - The Red Lion used to be "The place to go", we are proud to awaken the Lion and hear it ROAR again.
Afternoon Tea is served Tuesday to Saturday from 2.45 – 4.00pm
Michelin Plate Award 2017/2018
It just doesn't get any better than this Pub. The welcome is warm and friendly, the food is simply sublime. The duck and apricot rillette is rich and flavoursome and complimented perfectly by the sharp apple chutney. The pork and chilli scotch egg is delicious. The salmon was beautifully cooked and the seasoning spot on. My husband still believes that this is the best fish and chips anywhere and Saturday evening confirmed this again. The batter is light and crispy and remains so even with lemon juice. Cannot fault any part of our experience and look forward to our next visit.
We had an really enjoyable sunday lunch for the four of us. Lovely food and service
Super efficient and friendly staff; food was delicious (as usual). Great way to spend a Sunday afternoon.
Could've paid more attention as to when drinks were empty.
Though the menu looked exciting and different, the food was disappointing. Three small Portobello mushrooms swamped in melted cheese which was not a blue cheese as the menu claimed was a let down for the first course. The mixed mushroom papardelle for the main course (I love mushrooms) was an even bigger disappointment. The pasta was tasteless and the mushrooms scant and bland. We waited ages to be given menus and asked twice for them, waited ages for both courses. I will not complain during an evening out to spare fellow diners embarrassment, but felt you need this feedback.
Relaxed but professional atmosphere. Food and service excellent.
Very friendly welcoming staff, good variety on the menu, tasty
Had a lovely lunch today, this is a really lovely pub and our food today was excellent. The service was also excellent and we will definitely be returning.
We have eaten here many times and never been disappointed. The new menu is fantastic. The staff always great.
Fantastic, friendly staff.
Each time we have been for sunday lunch everything has been excellent. I could not find fault at all
Food was nice and setting was nice. I have a three year old daughter and the only thing that disappointed me was I ordered her melon to start and when it came there was no melon on the plate just grapes and oranges which would of been ok but she didn’t like the coulee that was over the top of it. Plain and simple would of been better with melon.
Afternoon tea was delicious! Staff were happy to help with our requests. Will definitely be going back there
Friendly pub, good food
Not been for many years but pleasantly surprised at the changes. Staff very friendly. Service excellent. Food very tasty. Well worth the money. All in all a very nice birthday evening. Be seeing you again in the not to distant future.
Potions small and lacking flavor. Belly pork cooked without crispy skin so very fatty - one of us sent their's back. Vegetable portions minuscule - 2 micro carrots and 2 small cabbage leaves. Took 3 attempts to get the bill right. Very disappointed
Food was lovely but service extremely poor compared to when we visited the weekend before Christmas
Food as always was excellent however the service was not as good as it was on previous visits. We had to wait at the bar whilst the lone barmaid was pouring drinks for the restaurant. After starters were served there was quite a wait for table to be cleared and had to ask someone to order another round of drinks. The restaurant was full and they were run off their feet delivering meals so it may be a case that you were understaffed that day but you may consider it's worthwhile considering that more staff may be appropriate, especially on a Sunday.
Roast Chicken was absolutely scrumptious. Liquor coffee was very good too
Our very first visit to a lovely relaxing restaurant with a wide range of meals which are cooked to perfection, very friendly staff who are very attentive. So easy to book a table via the web site and also be able to view the menu My wife and i will definitely be returning to sample some more dishes, just a shame the bar had ran out of hobgoblin ale
A super evening. The food was lovely. The service was great, our waiter was lovely. Pleasantly surprised at the bill too. We will be back.
Having dined numerous times before, all of us found the standard of food was not as high as usual. Very bland. Not enough staff available to cope with large party taking place which affected all other diners. First time we have thought poor value for money
Great quiz night, Mark does a sterling job. The menu was really exciting & the food was excellent, enjoy by all. Great thankyou
