About The Restaurant at Jimmy's
The Restaurant at Jimmy's Farm serves the best of home-grown and East Anglian produce in our beautifully restored 200 year old Barn.
Head Chef, Andrew Turnbull works with the seasons to create innovative dishes, with a distinctly British flavour - from a hearty breakfast, to a range of lunch time dishes, that change every day and delicious morning and afternoon teas.
Join us in our wonderful, family-friendly restaurant for our Sunday Roasts.
Unfortunately for us this is wasn't as good an experience as we have had years ago, left us both a little disappointed.
Wait staff could be friendlier.... they seem very unhappy. Food is delicious
The service was fanstastic. The food just what you expect - nice hearty meals for a farm. The dining area although intended to be rustic needs some TLC. There are bubbles in the ramp down to the lower part and it just looks a bit tired. Also there was some old food under our table. Love it at Jimmy’s but could make a few minor improvements.
Absolutely delicious!!! We loved the lamb stew + pork belly, desserts were amazing too, 10/10
Pop very nice place to eat and good staff
We had a really lovely meal. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Great setting. Will definitely come again. Thanks
Had a brilliant evening. The atmosphere was great, Jimmy's presentation was very entertaining and the butcher was excellent. I was slightly disappointed in the food (mostly the scone desert, which my chickens enjoyed :))and most of the beers were not to my taste.
The team were a bit short staffed so service was a little slow and I was a tiny bit disappointed that the colouring sheets were divided into girls and boys - my little girl much preferred the tractor! But those are tiny things really. Our food was delicious, it was really child friendly and when I mentioned I was dairy free the waitress arranged a dairy free crumble for me without me asking - so thoughtful! Everyone was very welcoming. We will be back!
Went to the big beef night. A fantastic event, brilliant service. Interesting butchery demonstration, amazing food. Lovely interaction from Jimmy and master butcher Dave with everyone who attended. Waiting staff were polite and attentive making sure we had enough drinks and tables were promptly cleared between courses. Looking forward to the next event!
Absolutely amazing night!
It was a fantastic night. So well organised and really informative. We loved the attention to detail with the food and drink pairings
The Big Beef Night was brillant & so much fun. Well hosted by Jimmy & Butcher man Defo a yearly event to attend Thank you
Awesome night at Jimmys Restuarant! Great food and service 👌🏼
Another great nights dining experience.
We had an amazing evening at the Beef night, the food was amazing, the whole evening was informative & brilliantly hosted & presented.
Waiting staff seemed young inexperienced and not well trained. Waited a while for drinks. Roast was average, no crackling served with pork?? Had to ask for cutlery napkins sauces etc rather than waiting staff proactively spotting this was all missing. One other point the restaurant gets cold in winter. Have been on two occasions now to find this
Service was quick and food was excellent.
Took part in a quiz night. Was goood fun but found it difficult to hear some of the questions. Maybe a better mic and the quiz master to make sure the questions are clearly read out. Food was great. Will do it again.
We went for lunch with my toddler. Fantastic place!! The food was Fantastic, the staff were friendly and it was really reasonably priced. We did see some negative reviews and we honestly don't know what they are on about!!
Great venue - went for quiz night, well organised and quiz master had great personality. Good food and friendly staff - first visit and already have a booking made to return for a Jazz breakfast.
I was appalled at the children’s party food we received having paid £6.50 a head. It was daylight robbery- and I am not being hyperbolic. A few sandwiches, some pineapple and what looked like one chopped up carrot, some almost inedible sausages and one brownie each. The parents there were shocked. The children were hungry. I will be booking the party in the wild raspberry studio again next year but definitely wouldn’t book in your restaurant ever again. Shocked that you would let customers down in this way- I was so embarrassed and felt really let down. I did get a 50% refund but on reflection should have pushed for more. Awful.
Had the Sunday lunchtime menu -the Roast beef meal was nice but felt it was expensive at £14.95 and the meal needs to be elevated to another level to be able to charge this sort of price for a roast dinner. The date pudding was excellent - but again, a bit expensive. No complaints about the food but, quality wise and presentation wise, of a standard you'd expect at a decent Garden Centre restaurant ....but more expensive. The surroundings did not match the cost of the meal in my humble opinion, and this is based on many other paces I have eaten at.
Food was absolutely fantastic. I had Pork belly and my wife had lamb stew- amazing! Only negative would be the service as it was very slow, particularly waiting in between courses. Would definitely come back again though!
Breakfast was lovely, was just missing beans and the bread used for toast could've been nicer!
