About The Restaurant at Jimmy's
The Restaurant at Jimmy's Farm serves the best of home-grown and East Anglian produce in our beautifully restored 200 year old Barn.
Head Chef, Andrew Turnbull works with the seasons to create innovative dishes, with a distinctly British flavour - from a hearty breakfast, to a range of lunch time dishes, that change every day and delicious morning and afternoon teas.
Join us in our wonderful, family-friendly restaurant for our Sunday Roasts.
Lovely meal with gorgeous food, catered brilliantly for our whole group which was aged 8 months to 66 years!! Second time we’ve been and we’d certainly go back again, excellent and friendly staff. Really good value for money
Lovely meal, we will definitely be returning.
We had a great birthday celebration for my son. The team were really helpful and made his day extra special.
The food was excellent. The only niggle is that you don't provide a child option for roast dinners
Everything excellent apart from service. Not enough knives and forks on table. No condiments offered when main courses were delivered. Bill came without the £40 booking deposit knocked off.
5 stars recommend to friend 5stars for food&drinkAtmosphere Service&value for money
Excellent Jazz breakfast
Service slow. Pork Burger poor quality, full of fat and God knows what else, and not very well cooked. Outside brown inside almost raw. Almost looked pre cooked or broiled. Chips cold. Food very expensive for quality...and portion size not great. Would avoid.
Utterly fantastic place to visit, food or farm just brilliant, you have to visit
Enjoyed the food especially the ploughman’s. Service was very good the staff were very welcoming.
The food was nice, but the service was not great, we had 2 new people serving us, one had no personality at all and was very slow, he needed a lot more training! The food was good value for money, but we were disappointed in the price of the farm, we considered going to look at the animals after the meal at 2:45, it was £9 for and adult and £8 for a child we had 3 children and 4 adults. Maybe it would have been good to have a half day rate?
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and there was more than enough, large portions.
The ploughmans was poor, very little of it for the price
A great place to go with the family for food or drink. We will return again to sample the delights. A very well rounded place to visit.
Amazing food, decent size portions and friendly staff. A fab Easter Sunday lunch 10 out of 10
One of the best roast dinners I have had in a Restaurant- highly recommended
We had a fabulous meal for 16 people.
I had the ploughman’s lunch which tasted lovely but one slice of ham and one small slice of cheese was not good value for money, it was more like a starter than a ploughman’s lunch.
Really looked forward to our visit as it was a birthday visit for 8 of us for my grandsons 5th birthday. I had to pay £80 deposit when making the booking online, which was absolutely fine, but when we received our bill at the end of the meal, the deposit had not been deducted - we had to ask for it which we felt was not very good at all. Had I not attended, but merely booked it for my daughter and her husband and children, they wouldn’t have known to mention about the deposit. One of our burgers had to be sent back as it was tepid inside. The side order of coleslaw had already been put on the plate, but when the burger was returned having been reheated, the coleslaw had been removed and not replaced - we had to ask for more, but then we were charged for the 2nd portion!! Obviously, I asked for this to be deducted, which it was, without any problem, but these were 3 “hic-cups” that should have been avoided. Apart from these points, the food was good, service good and polite and staff generally keen to please.
I was thoroughly impressed with the food and we all thought it was outstanding. However my friend couldn't manage the portion of food he had been given. Really made our day out that extra bit special to all of us. Top marks!
Disappointed in the service, first no menus given to us so had to ask, staff not very attentive and we had to ask them to take our plates away when finished as they just kept walking past them,
Although the food was tasty it was clear that the burgers had been pre cooked and not cooked to order as they were very dry. The pork crackling nibbles and cheese straws were delicious. The staff were very attentive and welcoming.
So easy to book on line. Lovely welcome and service equally as good. Food as always very tasty.
Hi, we enjoyed the food itself, but the table and stools had not been wiped down, the toilets were absolutely filthy and the waiting staff forgot a few items. Perhaps too many untrained and inexperienced staff, (including cleaning staff as the toilet floor had been mopped but left soaking wet). To top that off the price to enter the farm activities is far too expensive - particularly for those who have eaten in the restaurant. It feels like Jimmy has lost his way and become more about money than being a man of the people... disappointing.
Tasteless, overpriced, capitulating on fame.
