About The White Horse Brasserie
Situated at the heart of the historic market town of Romsey, The White Horse Hotel has been a coaching Inn for over 600 years. We offer all that you would expect from a casual drink, or maybe dinner in our restaurant or stay over with Bed and Breakfast, whatever you requirements we will be pleased to help.
Following three years of restoration work the hotel reopened in 2008 and now offers guests 31 individually designed bedrooms and suites with 24 hour room service, an award winning brasserie and the perfect place to host private events.
Afternoon Tea is served daily, at two sittings: 12.00 & 15.30
Not sure I like the service charge automatically being added on. This never used to be the case. I always leave a tip but like to have the option of how much I give. This is the only negative I have. Everything else was very nice.
We had originally booked for afternoon tea but the majority of our party decided they wanted a late lunch instead. Thus was organised with absolute no problems whatsoever. Food and service both wonderful.
First class service at the table unfortunately the toilets were out of action in the area we were seated so my wife had to try and walk outside which was not easy as she is restricted on walking.we decided to purchase a voucher for our son so all was not too bad.
Really great service, great wine list. Shame that our choice of vintage wine was limited to the only 2 bottles in the cellar. Food was good but surpassed and relegated by the choice of wine.
Excellent service, good quality food and wine,Fillet steak a bit pricey at just shy of £40, but nice !!
Excellent with regard to the quality of the food, presentation and service, but our a la carte dishes were small and expensive. There was some compensation in the addition of a tasty but delicate hors-d'oeuvre. If a more limited range of dishes is acceptable, the table d'hote menu looks to be much better value, though.
Fantastic food and lovely staff who made the dining experience a real pleasure from start to finish.
As usual we had an amazing time. Compliments to all!
Excellent food ...beautifully served by a lovely waitress called Chelsea - she subtly attended to our every need. Very pleasant and relaxing surroundings - tasteful quiet music playing in the background creating a lovely atmosphere in this well appointed brasserie.
The afternoon tea my friends and I had on Saturday was very enjoyable. The food was delicious and there was plenty of lovely sandwiches and cakes. The service was excellent. I would definitely recommend The White Horse Brasserie.
Having been for afternoon tea here before a few times this was the first choice for this occasion, as always the food was delicious, and service was excellent. The waiting staff were attentive without being to over the top,the atmosphere was relaxing.
Friendly staff. Delicious food and great with catering for allergies, even at short notice. Thank you!
Apart from a bit of confusion with the time that was booked everything else was lovely. Would definitely visit again
Great quality dining
Always amazing food and service! Highly recommend
We had a fantastic Mother's Day Afternoon tea. Service was great, nothing too much trouble. The food was delicious and we will definitely be back!! Well done The White Horse Brasserie! :)
I love the afternoon tea at The White Horse, I'll definitely be back for another!
Lovely food but desappoihted in eton mess - too much cream and too little of other bits. Puddings expensive. Good service and friendly staff.
Really nice food, good atmosphere and very good service! We had the set menu and really enjoyed all the courses, my Hake was particularly tasty.
Brought a friend for a celebratory lunch which we both thoroughly enjoyed. Superb food and a good value set menu. We'll be returning!
Lunch for 11 and we were looked after very well indeed and the food and value for money very good indeed. Lovely experience for a group including three generations and two families.
Excellent! I have been many times and the afternoon tea is amazing. Highly recommended and definitely worth a visit!
Would have liked the option of having a savoury scone like the people next to us.
