We enjoy eating in this place very much. Every visit has been very enjoyable
Our group of 30 people had a lovely evening and very much enjoyed your venue and hospitality. Thank you.
Great experience and the best ribs!
Food was fantastic and great service.
Once again a value buffet dinner for the Hataitai Swimming Club.
Should offer specials on the buffet on first table especially during the week especially cause the restaurant is only 10 percent full anyway.
I'm sorry but we dined at Whitby's Restaurant the previous week on a Monday evening, and felt the food was better than Sunday 1st March. There was more variety on the Monday, and unfortunately some of the beef on Sunday was very tough. I have been told that whitby's restaurant has at times served delectable steak but we did not have this choice on either visits. I feel food and drink were 4 star, I definitely am wanting to make it 5 star but I will return another time in hope. Overall, on Sunday evening, our family enjoyed their meals. So far, Whitby's is the best restaurant I have ever dined at in Wellington - if I hadn't known about the steak, or if Sunday would have been my very first visit, I likely would have given it 5star. Keep up the good work.
I love it we always enjoy and esp with the wifi so the kiddies can watch nursery rhymes while the adults enjoy their meals
Very happy with our experience. Service staff were friendly and helpful. Food was great with plenty of choice provided at the buffet which was good for the children we had with us.
Certainly a place to have a nice meal for a excellent price, all u can eat, very nice atmosphere and able to relax
Would have been even better if we could see out of the windows.
The atmosphere with live piano playing is lovely and our main reason for coming. The Mongolian barbecue was something different and the dramatic flames lots of fun. It would have been great to have some noodles to go with it as is traditional. Unfortunately there were a couple of downsides as our experience didn’t start well when our booking was apparently lost, fortunately the staff were able to accommodate us but it caused my guests worry and frantic phone calls to me. I also found the individual plastic wrapped butters appalling given our plastic crisis, the staff were happy to accommodate my request for a small amount of butter in a dish but I hope next time I come this is what’s available and the plastic is gone.
The staff were so friendly and helpful. The food tasted fantastic. We loved dinner and breakfast. Look forward to returning soon.
Best value for money, food was beautiful, lovely atmosphere, we will come again
The food was ok. Chef on live station rude and a bit aggressive no customer service skills. Dessert very disappointing the cakes are the goofy cakes you can by from paknsave would have expected nice gateau cakes, chocolate eclairs and different styles of desserts. Overall quite a let down
All was delicious and good could better If some changes in food menu
Afternoon tea - amazing food!
Great time, nice and relaxing atmosphere. Staff were friendly.
Really nice food and definitely a good deal
Such a beautiful place. Went on valentine's day to celebrate a week early for our one year anniversary. They did an amazing job . The food was amazing
The food and service at the high tea we attended at Whitby’s Restaurant were both outstanding. Our waiter was thoroughly knowledgeable about the tea range and offered some great suggestions and insights. He went the extra mile and provided a special plate for the birthday girl! We all found the food ample delicious and excellent value for money. Nothing was a problem. It was very pleasant being able to be seated by the lovely little view of the sea and city!
We had a lovely evening at the Whitby, my only comment is that 1 of us is vegetarian and we felt that there was limited options for vegetarians. The service was fantastic thank you.
Thoroughly enjoyable lunch and the added bonus was that we had 2 of our 5 who are vegan and they had no trouble min finding a meal to their total satisfaction
Fabulous experience, one I have had before and was not disappointed. Tuesday night free drink with dinner night was a surprise and an added bonus. Only downside and one I did not consider when booking the time, was the trip across town from our hotel ,in rushhour in a cab. VERY expensive. Perhaps the James Cook could run a pick up service for visitors to Wellington, maybe boost your patronage??
Thoroughly enjoyable experience
